Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

Two of my favorite shows. Shame on fox
They are mine too. They already took my other favorites off, originals, Reign and Vampire Diaries. Im getting to the point to stop watching and investing my time when my shows all get cancelled.

What the hell is this?! First brooklyn-nine-nine and now Lucifer?! Fox isn’t doing things right, bringing in more crappy shows and cancelling the actual good ones. Hope someday it will be picked up by netflix and renewed like arrested development (well done netflix!)
I know I shouldn’t get so upset over a show being cancelled but you invest your time into a show get attached to the characters and then they just give up on the show this sucks!!!

I am really disappointed that Fox has cancelled Luicfer, hopefully they wont put on a crappy show in its place. Fox needs to uncancel Luicfer

Very disappointing–but typical. I am really sorry to see this cancelled–but hey, they can bring on some more crappy reality shows maybe. Nothing like appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Well, there’s two less reasons to watch FOX: Brooklyn Nine-Nine & Lucifer. What a damn shame – two awesome shows getting axed! And for what? More crappy shows like (Not Actually) The Last Man on Earth or Ghosted.
The only good news I’ve heard was possibly bringing Last Man Standing in. I hope that does well since it was a great show!
I’m actually surprised they are bring Standing Man Only back. I loved it too. I’m not a conspiracy person but I’ll swear it was cancelled only because it was the only show that had a conservative outlook on the government and said everything the opposition disagreed with. It was hilarious.
I am sorry that Fox has decided to cancel Lucifer, I always had something to enjoy on Mondays. Poor choice if you ask me.
