Will a new network and night be a paradise for Thomas, Higgins, and the Magnum PI TV show? As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Magnum PI is cancelled or renewed for season six (an early report indicated NBC had picked up the series for fifth and sixth seasons of 10 episodes each but we now know that it was really for a fifth season of 20 episodes instead). Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the fifth season episodes of Magnum PI here. *Status Update Below.
An NBC action-adventure drama series, the Magnum PI TV show stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Amy Hill, and Tim Kang. This reboot of the 1980s TV show follows Thomas Magnum (Hernandez), a decorated former Navy SEAL who repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. He lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins (Weeks), a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent who keeps Magnum in line. When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, chopper pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin (Hill) and Orville “Rick” Wright (Knighton), a former Marine door-gunner who now runs a nightclub. Magnum frequently has run-ins with police detective Gordon Katsumoto (Kang) and the two are more alike than either cares to admit. The unofficial “House Mom” and cultural curator of Robin’s Nest, Teuila “Kumu” Tuileta (Hill) is also one of Magnum’s biggest fans.

Hi again NBC people…can you Please rethink the show ‘Magnum PI’? It has high ratings, tons of people love the show and it truly is one of the BEST Shows on TV! Why would you cancel the show? NBC should move Magnum PI to Peacock and renew it for additional seasons. If they’re not smart enough to do that, another streamer like Netflix needs to step up and save the show.
It’s really sad that Magnum PI has been cancelled yet again. Why would you (NBC) bother to pickup a great show from another network, show it for 1 season and then cancel it??? Great way to get fans to watch it on your network, NOT!! It’s one of the best shows on tv right now and it has high ratings (according to this site at least) and yet, you cancel it. Hi NBC1. Please Keep ‘Magnum PI’ on the air! Please Do Not Cancel the show. It has HIGH ratings and is a Fantastic show! Many of us do not like Reality Shows and ‘Magnum PI’ has drama, comedy, romance and Great scenes and action! Please Keep this show from being cancelled. My husband and I are 81 and would appreciate more seasons of Magnum PI as it is our favorite with great supporting characters that help to make it s success.
