CBS hasn’t announced that Medium has been cancelled but, while attending an event last weekend, Patricia Arquette said that the show will indeed be ending this season.
Like her character, series star Arquette can indeed see the future. Now, Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron has confirmed that the drama is finished. Of the last episode, Caron wrote, “Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”
The ratings for Medium have taken a real hit this season. Despite frequently winning its timeslot, the drama has averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.41 million viewers. CBS reduced the number of episodes to just 13 as a result.

My husband and I are so disappointed. We’ve watched this show from the start. We can’t believe the network would cancel so abruptly. They have had the best writers and actors throughout the series. We are stunned. Maybe we’ll have to stop watching other CBS shows and go back to reading!!
We liked this show and we’re sorry it’s being canceled. Rarely do you see the love between husband and wife on TV. They were great together and without all the nudity. Great family values rarely seen on TV.

time slot needed to be changed. I have watched this series from the very beginning
and never missed a show. Shame on ratings………….
This is my absolute favorite show. I just watched it tonight and had no idea that it was being cancelled. What is hollywood thinking???
I hate that this show was canceled. It was a great show that my husband and I really looked forward to every week. I think it’s a stupid move to take this show off the air… super lame.
This has been a consistently well written show. The writing has always been amazing and has always been put together in such a way that the pieces always come together at the end. It kept you guessing. Too bad it has to come to an end.
I cannot believe they are canceling this show when they leave so many other awful shows on. This is one of the only shows I take time to watch in my very busy schedule. I hope that they change their minds and bring it back for an eighth season!!!

I have looked forward to this show every time it has aired. There have been a few dumb episodes but the most part they delivered a departure from every day cares and allowed my imagination to soar. I will truly miss this exceptional presentation of ordinary looking folks with the ability to transform themselves, through excellent writing and acting, into something wonderful to watch.

I am so pissed off that CBS has terminated Medium! CBS sucks! Bring Medium back. It was my favorite show. I would re-work my schedule to make sure that I was at home at 8pm to watch it. BRING MEDIUM BACK!!!!!!!
This sucks, this had one of the best dipictions of family life ever, not to mention the writing was excellent.
All I want to know is if it was canceled by the Network or if the cast and writers decided to end it.
I am so disappointed that Medium has been cancelled. My husband and I have watched since it inception, and always enjoyed the show. We watch very few shows, but this was one we did enjoy. We hate the reality shows and most of the comedies are lame. Once again, a show with credibility and interesting goes down the tubes. I am sad to see it go.
Okay…are there ANY shows left? The good ol days with Ghost Whisperer at 8pm and then Medium at 9pm…great TV….you just feel the stress melt away….now what the hell am I going to watch? Both gone! I really can’t believe they would take the Medium off…wasn’t it just like a year ago she was getting an award for that show???
