Fans of TNT’s Men of a Certain Age were understandably a little confused by last night’s finale. Early last year, the cable channel renewed the TV show for 10 more episodes. Soon after season two began in early December, TNT started promoting the season finale after just six episodes. What happened?
Well, there’s good news. Men of a Certain Age has not been cancelled. TNT decided to increase the episode order to 12 installments and has broken the season up into two parts. A start date for the next half dozen episodes hasn’t been set yet but they’ll probably be released in the summer.
Men of a Certain Age follows three male friends as they adjust to the realities of middle age. It stars Ray Romano, Scott Bakula, and Andre Braugher.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear the show will be back with more episodes? Do you think breaking up the season like this is good or bad for the ratings?
What is with the programmers of this show? Are they all on drugs, You can’t wait for the new season, the they pull it.I don’t get it.I love the show, did you sell your channel to the Disney channel ?, like they destoried ABC.
Just found out this show was cancelled and I am very upset. Both my husband and I loved this show-I just can’t believe it was cancelled. I agree with another commenter, above, about Dirty, Sexy Money. I thought the show ended rather abruptly when they announced the season finale, but there was no way I thought it was cancelled. My husband just noticed a blurb in Entertainment Weekly which made me check the Web. I AM SO UPSET!!!!
i love this show and glad to see it has resumed. i’m dying to know whether the kids in the opening footage showing the guys when they were young are really them as kids? the young “owen” looks just like grown up owen and same for ray romano. would love to know.
thanks.
One of the beast shows on the air
Love the show and sad to hear it’s cancelled. One reason I feel it may have be cancelled is because of Scott Bakula and his character. I know many people who stated they would’ve continued to watch the show had it not been for Scott Bakula and his depressing presence on the screen.
I can’t believe TNT cancelled this show. This was one of the best shows on the TNT network. Finally a show without alot of violence and sex. This show was funny. As a matter of fact my 17 year old daughter would watch it with me. I guess the network felt it wasn’t fast pace enough. So what….It was refreshing. It had a different audience, and older audience. But apparantly the older audience doesn’t count. This show was realistic about everyday life and the struggles each of the characters were going through. I HOPE another network picks it up and… Read more »
I was extremely shocked to read a TV byline stating “Men of a Certain Age” has been cancelled. How dare they!! I loved this show. This is the third great TV show that has been cancelled in the past couple years and I am thoroughly disgusted. One was “Dirty Sexy Money” and the other was “Wild Roses.”
Just heard that TNT has cancelled this great show because of lack of viewers. There will be no season three. This is totaly the wrong thing to do. It was one of the best shows on … I looked forward to seeing it every week when it was running and disappointed when it only aired 6 episodes of season two. I wonder when the final 6 episodes that were shot will air? There should be a letter writing campaign to keep this show going.
This a great show never miss it…keep’er going!
Let’s hope they keep this show going. Something good in an otherwise poor selection on tv lately.
Just can’t believe they cancelled it! I’m so disappointed, I want to scream.
LOVE THIS SHOW! DONOT CANCEL!
LOVED ROMANO IN RAYMOND, BUT THIS IS BY FAAAAR HIS BEST!
I just love this show! I look forward to watching it and hate it when it’s over. Everything about it is good..the characters, story lines, and even the music. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled
One of the few good shows on. The husband and I both look forward to this show. Its great!!
Great show- we love it!
I am so glad it will be back. I love it and can’t wait. Hope it stays on for years and years
Kathryn » This is an older story. It’s been cancelled.
