The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

I agree everyone else on here it sucks they canceled it was looking forward on it continuing on loved the stories trouble they with some of these shows if there are some that you love watching and are on different stations they sometimes they put them on at the same time so that makes it more difficult i hate it when they do that if they want to fix and get bigger ratings need to start counting what people record if that happens or do something would like them to bring the show back!
i don’t understand the big wigs. instead of cancelling shows, they should experiment and change the air date around and maybe they can find the proper slot for it. i an sorry to see it go. maybe they can do some 2 hour specials at a later time.

I just told my wife, “watch, I like this show and they’ll cancel it for another shoot-em-up police show, and sure enough they did.

Thought it was an excellent show, but if you’re over 50, no one cares what you like.
I think it positively sucks that this show was cancelled. I loved it (along with Trauma and Three Rivers). I can believe that there are so many morons out there that keep the ratings up for the crappy reality shows so the networks keep renewing them and adding even more crappy reality shows to prime time. It’s a shame that good shows have to be cancelled!
I really like the show and have been looking for it. It seems that every time something comes on that I like, “they” cancel it. I am very disappointed!
Too bad, this was a great show. Super story lines, and a fantastic cast. Let’s hope some network picks it up and brings it back……..hopefully in a better time slot.

I am so bummed that this show is being cancelled, I thougbt it was much better than Mercy and 3 Rivers. Maybe they should bring it back in another time slot, The acting and story lines were really good. Re think this decision!
I only got to this site because I was checking on listing. The cast was great and the story lines were real and captivating. I wish the network would rethink their decision to cancel. It didn’t have time for viewers to catch on- give me a break, network bigwigs leave your ivory rating towers and give the shows more time before you decide.

I really enjoyed the show, I am a native and found it very interesting, and refreshing.
What a shame….some very good storys on it, although I think the time slot was poor – there are many who are NOT 18-49 that watch tv also….
