The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

It is a shame that you have cancelled this show. It was great. How can a show of its caliber be cancelled after such a short run while other, absolutely ridiculous, shows are continuing??? This show deserves a second chance and additional air time. It appears that just the responses to this site alone are all positive. Who makes these decisions?????????????? Just bring back Miami Medical!!!
I can’t believe this show was cancelled. I kept looking for it and what was on was what would you do Really? So sad you should really bring it back……
Do you count the people that DVR Miami Medical. Are you serious? Again, you get rid of the BEST shows and leave the DUMB shows on. Who really cares about Medium, I don’t. Miami Medical was the ONLY tramua show that I have watched and it was AWESOME!!!!! Not only did I watch the show but I set my DVR to record it so that I could watch it over and over!!! CBS NEEDS TO STOP CANCELLING THE BEST SHOWS and take some of the new fall shows off the air. Some cannot compare to Ghost Whisperer and Miami Medical.

Please bring this show back. All the medical shows are going off air, we need the goods ones to come back. they are very educational and real life like shows. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!

Please bring back Miami Medical! It is such a great show, from its beautiful scenes and sets, to the interesting and exciting story lines, to the wonderfully written and acted characters. I think this show will do better if given a second season!!!

Please don’t cancel this show. I stayed up on Friday Nights just so I could watch it. I love Ghost Whisperer and Miami Medical. I do not like Medium however.
Please make a second season of Miami medical .Miami Medical is one of the best trauma shows I’ve seen in sometime.
