The latest medical drama on CBS is going the way of Three Rivers and NBC’s Mercy and Trauma. Miami Medical has been cancelled after one season on the air. However, there is some good news.
Miami Medical follows the exciting lives of a group of talented surgeons who work at one of the best trauma centers in the country. The Friday night drama features Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam, Omar Gooding, Mike Vogel, and Elisabeth Harnois.
The CBS medical series got off to a poor start on April 2nd with a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.59 million viewers. In week two, the numbers dropped to a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7.1 million viewers. Viewership has continued to tumble and thus far, the season has averaged a disappointing 1.3 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
To put these figures in perspective, Numb3rs’ season had better numbers — an average of a 1.8 rating and 8.27 million — and was ultimately cancelled.

And now, like so many of the other medical dramas from this season, Miami Medical has been cancelled. There won’t be a second season.
On the positive side, the show was scheduled to finish its run tonight, leaving five of its 13 episodes unaired. But now, CBS has added some additional airdates.
Next Friday’s will be a repeat of the pilot episode. Then, original episodes will return on June 4th, paired with new installments of Flashpoint. The last episode of Miami Medical is expected to air on July 2nd.

Hey! I think it was very dumb to stop that show. It is very good everynight on Friday I would record it and watch it for 8 hours. Sorry but BRING IT BACK PLEASE and my whole family watched. I’m 14, sister 11 and brother 8+ 15 other people i know wish this show came back. Bye. This is not a thert letter. I’m just mad!!!!!
I am so disappointed that Miami Medical has been canceled. Hope they wake up and have a change of heart. I really looked forward to the show, it was the best part of the end of the week.

well well well. Here we go agean, hear comes a show, that has heart and sole. A show of people helping others. And they pull the plug, where was the news of this, I didn’t see it on tv. i never heard of this. Just like 3 rivers, OMG a show that reall showed heart and the caring of strangers. I actually enjoyed the show… it is alot better than some other medical shows. I still can’t believe it was cancelled…

Miami Medical was an amazing show. I can’t believe it’s cancelled. That’s what I call B-S.

I was looking for when Miami Medical was coming back on and was amazed to find out it had been cancelled. This show, along with The Good Wife was the high point of my tv watching week. CBS must have been looking at the wrong criteria to cancel such a quality show — great acting, great scripts, great characters. One of the best series CBS has ever carried, and certainly the best medical series. Please please CBS reverse your decision and bring this series back!
What is wrong with you people? Miami Medical was one of my favorites. But I guess the majority want to see only shooting, killing, maiming and cops gone bad. CBS you have dissapointed me!

I was just looking to see when it would start again and found out that it was cancelled. This makes me very sad and angry at CBS. I have loved CBS all of my life. Not right now!!!!! This was one of the best shows they have had, and they dropped it. I am not happy with them and I wish that they would bring it back. This may be the last straw for me. I agree everytime a good show comes on they dont give it enough time for people to catch up an see whats new maybe someone hasn’t seen the preview for it and then they go tell their friend to watch it an its not even on anymore an your like GEES what the heck. this cast had nice looking girls an really cute guys in it! BRING IT BACK!
