What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, Midnight, Texas stars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, and Yul Vázquez. Based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, the supernatural drama plays out in the remote Texas town of Midnight, where nothing is what it seems. There, only outsiders belong, while normality is just plain weird. It is the best haven for people who need to hide from the world at large. The townies come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off external pressures from nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.

Telly’s Take
Midnight, Texas was originally supposed to premiere in the mid-season, but in the end, the Peacock network held it for summer. What’s more — they only ordered ten episodes. While none of that adds up to anything definitive, it could indicate that they have less faith in the series. The ratings have not been very good so I suspect that the show will be cancelled. MIDNIGHT is the best show I’ve seen in a long time. My entire family is as addicted to it as I am. We really hope NBC picks it up for season 2.

I think Midnight Texas should go on.I mean come on now u have a vampire, priest/wolf, psychic, witch etc who lives in a small town that all get along very well and fight together against evil..where else are u gonna find that? NOWHERE!….I still see shows on tv with many seasons with very low rating.KEEP MIDNIGHT TEXAS GOING!!!

Midnight, TX is ABSOLUTELY one of the best new shows of the season. NBC will be doing itself, and the viewers, a real disservice by not renewing this show. It is so interesting. I am absolutely invested in the characters; and no, one season was not enough. PLEASE RENEW MIDNIGHT, TX !

I really enjoyed this series, and as usual it looks like a show I have really liked will not get picked up for a second series.
Why do networks do this?
In the UK we love shows on the supernatural, but nearly every time the US networks just take into account the US viewing figures and not the rest of the world’s. Constantine comes to mind.

I was just thinking about the show Constantine!! I was so upset when it got cancelled. Midnight is a great series and hopefully it won’t get cancelled too!
Just heard about the show, so I power watched through the season. I liked it. I don’t fit in the age demographics, as I am older, but it was entertaining.
Love this show. I hope they do not cancel and allow it a few more seasons so that other people with bee able to see it and get hooked…
