This was not a good start for Monday Mornings. It was the lowest TNT scripted debut in more than a year and lost 40% of lead-in Dallas’ audience.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you like the new Monday Mornings TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
One of the best for a long time , so of course they did not renew. Another example of inane moves.
I cannot believe that TNT cancelled such a great show. Smart, great writing, great acting…then renews some of the dumbest shows. What can be done to get this back on the air???
Monday Mornings was one of the best medical show ever produced and shown on television. Why do they keep all these silly reality shows on and get rid of a really good show…
I loved Monday Mornings!! It was so well casted and the storylines were incredible!! Such a great mixture of people and so true to life. I liked it so much that I got the book and read it. The series is a lot better, though!! Please keep it on the air!!
The best medical drama since ER. Intelligently written, with great acting. Love Molina and Rains. Really not fair to cancel this and keep the stupid reality shows just to keep the 20-20-something audience. What about the rest of us?! Give the show a chance and do a better marketing job. Actually, the show should be on a major network during prime time!
What a sad day for t.v. After waiting all winter for the return of Memphis Beat & finding out that it was cancelled, I was ready to give up on t.v. Then came the refreshing Monday Mornings series. It was so fresh and new. What a concept. I’m in my mid 30’s and can’t stand all these reality shows and sitcoms with laugh tracks in the background. I want a show that makes me think and talk about it after watching it. I could actually watch this show with my tween son! Now…I find out it’s been cancelled? Who is… Read more »
Ditto to Diane Bauer’s post. A lot of us are not 18-49 years old. We cannot abide the “lead in” Dallas, hence we don’t watch it. It is likely that, mentally, the people who like programs like Dallas have difficulty following Monday Mornings. It is such a class act, such a rich and fulfilling program, filled with vagaries of human nature and the difficulties encountered in medicine. What a joy to watch! I am saying this poorly, but the discussion at my barber shop was quite animated and ALL present were deeply discouraged that “reality” programs (which are cheaper to… Read more »
Monday Mornings was a wonderful show!! I am so disappointed it was not renewed
for a second season. TNT did not give it enough time to develop a following. Please
reconsider and give it another chance.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE NETWORKS? They have canceled a drama that barely had a moment to breathe before declaring it deceased. Monday Morning’s wasn’t given a fair chance. This was a drama that was well written, beautifully shot and cast with some of the best actor’s in the business! This drama would have flourished if TNT had bothered to promote it properly. Hands down, this was better than anything “trying” on the 3 major networks. Ultimately, everything boils down to greed. If only HBO had optioned this book and brought it to us…
My wife and I thought this was one of the best shows on TV in many years….we never missed an episode. What a real shame if it is cancelled.
I have not yet seen all the Episodes (on DVD) of the first Series but would say that the series is certainly worth at least another Series. The characters have not yet been fully explored and I would say that there is certainly room for expansion. Please don’t cancel!!
this is the best medical show i have ssen in years. my husband and i looked foward to watching it each week. we would like to think that we would have doctors with the same devotion and caring as the doctors in this series. what a mistake to cancel something so real and useful and see all the rediculous programs that are of no value get more and more popular. the younger generations need to know there are better things to spend their time viewing. there are certainly many shows that need to be cancelled but not this one!
I am thoroughly disgusted with TNT’s decision not to renew this fabulous drama. Clearly one of the best things on TV this year (OK, Justified is still terrific). Why cannot well-written shows with great actors have long life? You know intelligent people shop too, even old broads like me. Seniors actually do buy stuff, so what’s the problem?
To cancel or not: Not do, dead. (That’s my love affair with TNT.)
While searching my guide on the TNT channel, it shows that Monday Mornings will air at 10.00pm on Monday June 10th. It is listed as new, not as repeat. Have they had the good sense not to cancel ?
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MEDICAL SERIES EVER ON TV-YOU MUST BRING IT BACK
