MTV has ordered three new female-led comedies, Deadline reports. The series include a show from comedian Nicole Byer and one about two college vigilantes.
Nicole Byer’s untitled project will star her as “a young adult who is forced to move in with her sister and four kids in the suburbs after causing a fire in her New York City apartment.” It will be a part advice/part coming-of-age comedy. Byer currently stars in MTV’s Girl Code.
The other projects include an untitled pot-dealing comedy from Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont and Little Darlings, a college-set series from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Little Darlings will follow “two very unlikely friends taking justice into their own hands and kicking literal ass on their college campus.”
What do you think? Would you watch any of these series? Are you happy MTV is developing more female-driven series?
