NCIS: New Orleans has been cancelled by CBS after seven seasons, and star Scott Bakula recently spoke about finishing the series and leaving New Orleans behind.
The cast and crew were not expecting CBS to cancel the show and were informed in February, as they were filming episode 13. “It was painful,” said executive producer Jan Nash, “but it was a blessing to have enough time to make adjustments and a finale that feels very true to New Orleans.”
Bakula said the following about the finale of NCIS: New Orleans and filming it during the pandemic, per TV Insider:
“The last episode of a seven-year series has all kinds of light shining on it. People gave speeches, bumped elbows. They had their masks on. It was bittersweet: We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season, but it was goodbye — and from a distance.”
Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also star in this CBS procedural drama. The series finale is set to air on May 23rd.

NCIS New Orleans has always been my personal favorite of the NCIS shows. I will really miss it. It has a way of connecting with me that the other shows do not have.
I can’t believe they cancelled NCISINO it is the best one on. Now your doing one in Hawaii headed by a woman whom probably held the people don’t know. She doesn’t have much of a resume. At least NCISNO had a great team that worked so well together. Will miss it terribly. No more ncis for me except new Orleans reruns

Goodbye New Orleans 4 episode left gone for good such shame love it and enjoy it. Never missed any episodes not lie to you it truth really good crime show.
They should have cancelled NCIS: Los Angeles
I am very sad & sorry to learn of CSI:New Orleans being cancelled. I watch very few shows and this is one of them. Have to go to cable now. How sad.

NCIS New Orleans was a great, entertaining show so very sad to see it go after a relatively short run compared to other NCIS shows of similar quality…… Great characters & good acting ….. Better than many other shows that managed to stay safe for another season! ….
I can’t believe CBS is so stupid as to cancel one of its best shows! It started out on Tuesdays following NCIS and then was moved to Sundays. I followed it then, and if some other station is smart enough to pick it up, I’ll follow it there too. CBS just ruined my Sunday night.
NCIS is the most humane of the series. The interpersonal issues are real and deeply felt. It’s clearly a loss to CBS viewing and I don’t truly know the rationale of the CBS execs. I for one will miss the drama and exchanges amongst the principals.
Can’t understand why you would cancel my favorite show that I have watched since it’s beginning .I’m sure there are more upset fans than me. Only show where the boss gets out there and fights w/ his team. Love the cast& miss LucusBlack. Will miss Scott Bakula and his piano playing+ the other music. Can’t believe NOLA was cancelled just to create a new one. Not a wise move & renewing an old one ( NCIS ).
Best show in the NCIS franchise gets canceled! When you move a popular show to a bad time slot, you can expect to lose some viewers, at least until the fan base can make adjustments. We’re not used to staying up that late, but we adjusted. But then you canceled it anyway!
NCIS New Orleans is one of my and my wife’s favorite shows. We care quite saddened to see it go. That’s show biz, I guess.
