NCIS: New Orleans has been cancelled by CBS after seven seasons, and star Scott Bakula recently spoke about finishing the series and leaving New Orleans behind.
The cast and crew were not expecting CBS to cancel the show and were informed in February, as they were filming episode 13. “It was painful,” said executive producer Jan Nash, “but it was a blessing to have enough time to make adjustments and a finale that feels very true to New Orleans.”
Bakula said the following about the finale of NCIS: New Orleans and filming it during the pandemic, per TV Insider:
“The last episode of a seven-year series has all kinds of light shining on it. People gave speeches, bumped elbows. They had their masks on. It was bittersweet: We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season, but it was goodbye — and from a distance.”
Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also star in this CBS procedural drama. The series finale is set to air on May 23rd.

Very sorry to see NOLA end. Great cast(s) and storylines. Probably replaced with another mindless sit com
I hate to see it cancelled. It is especially devastating when Scott Bakula and Chelsea Fields had relocated to live in NOLA as they thought it would continue. It was like git-punching them both. I will miss the “family” of characters in this show. I never missed an episode.
I really like this show and the cast, please put them on the NCIS-Hawaii show. Or just keep this show.

I love this show and don’t understand why they’ve done this.It’s better than NCIS LOS ANGELES.
The show is one of the reasons we visited NOLA. Along with the food, the music, the city, the people… You get the idea.

I’m going to miss NCIS New Orleans terribly. The cast seems like old friends that I see every week. I think CBS Is making a big mistake!
I love that show I hope they come up with something that is just as good I’m not sure why these people want to do this to us who watch these programs and they’ll replace with something that is terrible

I love the show. I hate to see it canceled. But I guess it has run it’s course. Will miss most of the characters.
Of course, will be watching – no question about it. Wish CBS sees this site – AND CHANGE THEIR MINDS -NCISNO is loved – especially Scott Bakula. They all are great actors and play off of each other – especially Pride and Dr, Wade. PLEASE CBS leave NCIS New Orleans alone – we all want it to stay.
I am really angry that they cancelled new orleans it is one of the best shows stop canceling all the good one that goes for mom too
I am very unhappy. This show has better and more developed characters plus the city itself. I learned more from this show than the other two combined! I even watch their reruns, not the others though.
