NCIS: New Orleans has been cancelled by CBS after seven seasons, and star Scott Bakula recently spoke about finishing the series and leaving New Orleans behind.
The cast and crew were not expecting CBS to cancel the show and were informed in February, as they were filming episode 13. “It was painful,” said executive producer Jan Nash, “but it was a blessing to have enough time to make adjustments and a finale that feels very true to New Orleans.”
Bakula said the following about the finale of NCIS: New Orleans and filming it during the pandemic, per TV Insider:
“The last episode of a seven-year series has all kinds of light shining on it. People gave speeches, bumped elbows. They had their masks on. It was bittersweet: We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season, but it was goodbye — and from a distance.”
Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also star in this CBS procedural drama. The series finale is set to air on May 23rd.
What do you think? Are you a fan of NCIS: New Orleans? Are you planning to watch the finale on CBS later this month?
Sick of CBS!! First MacGyver & now NCIS New Orleans & no word yet on Seal Team!! What junk will they replace it with? Equalizer is great but I don’t trust them to hit any more Home Runs with new shows!!
I love NCIS New Orleans! The characters and story lines are great. I am extremely sorry to see the end of this T V show end. I wish the entire cast well. Thank you for terrific entertainment.
I am so sad to see NCIS-New Orleans cancelled. I am really upset with CBS for canceling it. It was the greatest show and all the characters were outstanding. I am really going to miss it. So so sad to see it go.
I don’t know anyone that watches NCIS LA but everyone is talking about NCIS NO the next morning. I wish that a cable network will pick them up and stick it to CBS.
Really disgusted CBS cancelled this show! Loved every episode.
Love this show and am so sad its cancelled.
I’m REALLY REALLY going to miss NCIS New Orleans, the characters and the show. There is such love and caring between all of them. Dwayne honestly loves his agents and family. It is SUCH A BIG
MISTAKE TO TAKE IT OFF THE AIR.
Will miss the Ncis: New Orleans. My wife is trying to get me to read more and at the rate good shows are going away she may be right.
I really enjoyed NCIS New Orleans. I will miss it. The actors were well-chosen for their parts and the location was excellent. I looked forward to every new episode. Bummer!!
NCIS New Orleans is way better than NCIS LA and it shouldn’t be canceled! Bad move! I find it hard to sit through an NCIS LA and often fast forward through most of it!
There is never accounting fit poor network decisions.. I love the show and will miss both it and the characters.
Please keep it on. Love the show
Got a little too PC for me. Like a good who dunit yarn, and every episode seemed to have a theme about wronged people that make the “woke” in the country proud. I watch tv to get away from politics. After a year of pandemic, their episodes resumed with everyone wearing masks so much couldn’t even understand the dialogue.I know about masks, didn’t need to live it on tv. I didn’t quit taping the episodes they’re just on back burner for it I don’t have anything else to watch. Escapism folks that’s what I think it should be, and entertaining.
I hate to see it go! I’ve enjoyed & looked forward to watching it. They canceled the wrong one. They should have canceled NCIS LA because their story line seems so repetitive.
NCIS NO hasn’t been the same since Lucas Black (Christopher LaSalle) left the series.
