NCIS: New Orleans has been cancelled by CBS after seven seasons, and star Scott Bakula recently spoke about finishing the series and leaving New Orleans behind.
The cast and crew were not expecting CBS to cancel the show and were informed in February, as they were filming episode 13. “It was painful,” said executive producer Jan Nash, “but it was a blessing to have enough time to make adjustments and a finale that feels very true to New Orleans.”
Bakula said the following about the finale of NCIS: New Orleans and filming it during the pandemic, per TV Insider:
“The last episode of a seven-year series has all kinds of light shining on it. People gave speeches, bumped elbows. They had their masks on. It was bittersweet: We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season, but it was goodbye — and from a distance.”
Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also star in this CBS procedural drama. The series finale is set to air on May 23rd.

Too bad you don’t really listen to your audience. I’m through with you, CBS. I’ve been loyal for 45 years. In the last 10 years, you’ve cancelled almost every good show you all have had. Fans of these shows still talk about them. I won’t be watching anything CBS anymore.
how about Netflix or Prime picking it up
I enjoy NCIS NEW ORLEANS, sorry to see it end. I watch very little TV and I guess I’ll be watching less. Can’t stand all these new shows that is nothing but humor
I have no idea what is going on with cbs but some employees should be canceled not the shows! Some of the new shows really suck and have no place on television!
I love anything and everything with Scott Bakula and hopefully they will find him another good series very soon.
Also, CBS has really screwed up and canceled so many good shows in the past that I don’t know why I should be surprised that they canceled NCIS New Orleans.
I really hate that this show was cancelled. Shows that are coming on now are ridiculous. Even Hawaii five 0 cancelled. Seriously??? And why aren’t they using some of the actors on the ncis Hawaii? I’m so sick of the good shows going off and I hope CBS ratings drop! The regular NCIS has run its course. That should be cancelled not NOLA!!!
The fact that CBS is cancelling NCIS New Orleans is ridiculous there’s many fans that love this show which is obvious by the posts that have been made and then really good shows with heart like this are canceled and then you put in shows like B+ or United States of Al some of these shows Maybe funny when they first start but too many good shows such as Mom which was a great show even without Christy the show is excellent and it’s been canceled also apparently CBS doesn’t listen to the fans
Not happy at all! Love the stories and the characters! It’s ridiculous to stop this series so you can start a new one.
Go. Learn things. Ouch. Been shot thru the heart & both lungs. AGAIN! Don’t worry. NEVER fatal. PLEASE! Nothing about this phony show & empty story lines was entertaining. Should have died seasons ago. Good riddance. Hope none of these characters end up moving to Hawaii!
Cancelling this show is just more proof that CBS management has their heads up their asses. And they’ve cancelled so many really good series that it’s obvious their heads are stuck there. We’re tired of having our favorite shows dumped.
I think you cancelled the wrong N.C,I.S This one had more “heart” to it. I am sorry to see it go. My least favorite is N.C.I.S. Los Angeles. Just sayin.

The corny, fake NOLA accents will not be missed. I can still watch the really lame “Equalizer” show…not.
Actually I think out of all the NCIS series NCIS New Orleans was the best, the show had heart. Even though it was sad when regulars left they always pulled back thru. Just like CSI Miami was the best of that series. CBS you really suck
