NCIS: New Orleans wrapped on CBS after seven seasons on Sunday night, and now, executive producer Christopher Silber has revealed what fans would have seen if it had returned for an eighth season.
The procedural drama ended with Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) being given the chance to spend more time with the son he never knew he had. Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also starred in the drama following the NCIS office in New Orleans.
Silber said the following about what would have happened next on NCIS: New Orleans, per TV Insider:
“Certainly we would have wanted to explore and we were excited about exploring Pride’s relationship with his son and digging deep into that and seeing what that means to discover that you have a son who is nearly fully grown and to try to build a relationship and try to build those ties. It would be challenging for sure. We thought that the young man who played Connor was fantastic and there was great chemistry with Pride and with Jimmy as well. As well as solve incredibly interesting and fun Navy crimes.”
As for seeing the characters from the CBS series again, fans could see them on NCIS or the new NCIS: Hawaii at some point, but there are no plans for that at this time.

NCIS New Orleans was by far my favorite TV show. I lived in New Orleans for three years in the early 70’s (Tulane University School of Law) and NO had a grip on me that never let go. NO is such a perfect setting for movies/TV.
Hawaii? You’ve got to be kidding! Too many damn shows set in the insipid Hawaiian islands already.
Definitely I would watch more seasons of NCIS-New Orleans! Love the actor playing Conner. Please quit putting great shows on Sunday night to mess up viewing time because of sports going over time.
Sunday night is a death sentence, like what you’re going to do to SEAL Team.
I think the networks move successful shows to Sunday to sign their death warrants because the production costs are too high and that’s their way of justifying cancelling them. Jerks! LOVED THIS SHOW and there was so much happening for future shows. Soooo MAD.
I just make sure I tape the show on a channel that has no sports. Love NCIS:NO.

CBS, really disappointed me with the cancellations this year. NCIS NO, was unexpected. ALL RISE, I was hoping that it would get over the bubble but got cancelled.
CBS should have never canceled NCIS -NO. It is a great show with great starts. I look forward to watching it on Sunday night or if on any other night.

I cannot believe they are cancelling New Orleans. I love that show and have been a fan all 7 seasons. Mom, All Rise and New Orleans!! I don’t think that CBS will keep me much longer when they take away so much. Scott, where will you go?
I’m tired of CBS taking off all the good programs I liked ncis: new Orleans, All Rise, Mcguvy this is ridiculous. May have to change to other channels. Also took off Mom, unicorn.

It was a big mistake by CBS to cancel NCIS New Orleans. There was much more story telling to be told! I hope the show is picked up by another network!!!

I think that you were wrong in cancelling this show in the first place. I really looked forward to watching the show and her you go and take it off. Shame on you CBS and now you want to start up NCIS Hawaii, does not make since. If you think NCIS Hawaii would replace Hawaii Five O you are really wrong nothing can replace that show.

I am very disappointed that NCIS New Orleans has been cancelled I was hoping that it would be renewed for another year. Do not think I will watch any of the other series
