NCIS: New Orleans wrapped on CBS after seven seasons on Sunday night, and now, executive producer Christopher Silber has revealed what fans would have seen if it had returned for an eighth season.
The procedural drama ended with Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) being given the chance to spend more time with the son he never knew he had. Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also starred in the drama following the NCIS office in New Orleans.
Silber said the following about what would have happened next on NCIS: New Orleans, per TV Insider:
“Certainly we would have wanted to explore and we were excited about exploring Pride’s relationship with his son and digging deep into that and seeing what that means to discover that you have a son who is nearly fully grown and to try to build a relationship and try to build those ties. It would be challenging for sure. We thought that the young man who played Connor was fantastic and there was great chemistry with Pride and with Jimmy as well. As well as solve incredibly interesting and fun Navy crimes.”
As for seeing the characters from the CBS series again, fans could see them on NCIS or the new NCIS: Hawaii at some point, but there are no plans for that at this time.
What do you think? Did you want to watch an eighth season of NCIS: New Orleans on CBS?
Yes I want a new season of NCIS new Orleans you can’t end it that way
As usual, good TV is cancelled for what I am sure will be mindless reality shows etc. Your gearing most shows for an 18 year old mentality. It’s sickening and SO wrong.
I can’t believe it’s over. In my opinion this was the best one out of all.
i love nice o it’s great, the actors are great & the theme of NO is wonderful…how could you cancel & Bakula as well as the rest of the cast are fantastic!!!
I want to see a season 8. New Orleans NCIS is a fantastic show, love the story line and the beauty of New Orleans.
We would love to have a season 8 of NCISNA. It’s really bad that the shows everybody likes they take off the air. Most get replaced with reality or comedy. And that’s when we don’t watch tv. Thank you for letting us comment
I would love to see 8 series
I would love for there. To be a season 8
This was a great show. We loved it! Now they put stuff thats no good.
Yes I would like to NCIS New Orleanes season 8. But why All Rise has been canceled. CBS is doing this often now with all good new seasons like Tommy, The murder etc. When you sit your self to check when will the following seasons begins, CBS is canceled them.
Do not show NEW tv shows if you are going to cancel them.
Sucks. CBS cancelling great wholesome shows like All Rise. Now a main stay like NCIS New Orleans. Season Eight needs to be re-visited.
Or at least a movie. What a cast. I’m more than disappointed.
I’m not sure who’s making the decisions. They definitely have lost sight of what the people want.
I also loved All Rise.
CBS love’s canceling new tv shows.
Yes I wanted another season got tears in my eyes knowing it was ending
I think it meant a lot to be filmed in New Orleans
Wish we could have a return session. The way it ended there could be a return
I am sure we all think the same CBS making another Hugh mistake there was to much untold to cancel the show. As well as All Rise, like ABC Rebel. It is clear that when shows are great their gone! While replaced with junk shows which is what is being done. I will not watch Hawaii another boring show about Hawaii no Thank you. My hope soon writers will have their own streaming platform so these Networks find out no one will be watching them. They just do not care about what we want unless your 18-39 which is simply… Read more »
Yes. I like NO better than LA
Me too. Always loved Scott Bakula. Would watch him in just about anything. Won’t say that about many actors. But loved the show more than LA too
Love this show and I like the fact that the show shows no one is above the law . Love the characters and how they have friendship and understanding. Please have a season 8. It’s getting more and more interesting
