For the first time in NCIS’ very long history on CBS, Michael Weatherly isn’t part of the cast. Will this negatively impact the ratings for the network’s most-watched TV series? With such high ratings, the show wouldn’t be in danger of being cancelled and CBS has already renewed the show for season 15. Still, it’s fun to watch the ratings. Stay tuned.
On NCIS, Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team of special agents continue to investigate crimes that involve the US Navy and Marine Corps. The rest of the season 14 cast includes Brian Dietzen, David McCallum, Emily Wickersham, Pauley Perrette, Rocky Carroll, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Jennifer Esposito, and Duane Henry.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The 13th season of NCIS averaged a 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 16.61 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS TV series? Do you think it should have already been renewed for season 15 on CBS?
I miss the chemistry of the core characters. This season the script has been so predictable that my husband and I are saying the lines before the characters do. I can handle new characters but the writers need to step up their game
NCIS is not that good this year. New characters do not mesh. Does not deserve season 15. This show is not a must watch anymore.
Loyal fan from season 1. We have been through many changes over the years and yes some went fine, some not so great but the show still managed to shine above many others. Sadly, this season is awful for me (just my opinion folks). They would have been far better off to leave out the new characters and just bring in visiting actors like Samantha Ryan, Abigail Borin, Carrie Clark, etc. It is not that I am opposed to newbies joining the team, it is just the people they selected to play these roles stink and their story lines are… Read more »
You said it!!!
Another failed episode last night (Feb 14). My avid fan spouse turned it off 20 minutes in with disgust. We found better things to do.
I thought it was a fine episode! Loyal fan from season 1, and still not disappointed. I don’t like nor wanted these changes the recent seasons, but heck in life not everything goes like you want it. Go NCIS!
I totally agree. Change is good. I love Bishop not so sure about Ellie and don’t need Gibb’s love life to entice me. Keep business as usual and do spin off Ducky with Elementary or Sherlock.
I still like NCIS even with all the changes, but I would like to suggest a spin off with Dr. Palmer and the Sherlocks.
Keep NCIS on. I love the show. I can do without Michael WeatherBug but if you lose Abby, Gibbs or McGee then we’ll see. Keep it now. It’s great
Get rid of the 2 new characters. The lady walks around like she is half dead and the guy can’t act!
I have watched the show from the beginning. I didn’t know if I would like it after Michael left but it didn’t change. Love it love it!!!!!
I have been a loyal fan since day one.I find this season totally sucks!!
I agree!
This show is awsome you guys cannot cancel it. It has been the best show I have seen!!!!
This show must be getting back when my spouse who is (was?) an avid fan, got up in the middle of last night’s episode, turned off the show and said the episode was really bad and the has really gone downhill from the earlier years.
Why didn’t anyone go to the other window where the son was sitting on the ledge and pull him in? Why were firemen mulling around on the ground and not implementing a jumpers trampoline. By that time, I was ready to push the son and Jimmy off the ledge out of sheer boredom.
Meant to write, ‘this show must be getting bad…
Please do not cancel NCIS! I love this show!! Dinozzo has been filled in for and his new show Bull fills the void! Tues. Night line up is awesome!!
I love NCIS and I have been watching this show since it started, I record it on the dvr so that I can watch it the next day or when I get back home. So many of my shows have been canceled already please don’t take this one away from me yet. I know Tony and Ziva are gone however there’s still Gib’s and his teem all of them that make the show very good and on my toes. This show how is so good it keeps me wan ting more. Please do not cancel this show ! Thank you… Read more »
I love NCIS and Mark Harmon, I was disappointed when Ziva left, however, I enjoy the new dynamics of the show. I could watch the reruns 24/7 it never gets boring. The acting is amazing, watching the characters grow makes things very interesting, especially McGee! I love it!!!
I was an NCIS FANATIC.. I still watch the Marathons, and, in fact, am watching one now. I no longer watch it, as when they “killed off” Ziva unnecessarily, it was the final straw. Tony can always walk in as a cameo, and Ziva could have. As far as replacements, I thought during the other seasons, other characters were given an open door to join later.. Bourne, Burley, Army CIS Holly Mann, EJ Barrett… could all have added to the history and mystique of the show. As well as the tensions. The show lost it’s luster for me with the… Read more »
