For the first time in NCIS’ very long history on CBS, Michael Weatherly isn’t part of the cast. Will this negatively impact the ratings for the network’s most-watched TV series? With such high ratings, the show wouldn’t be in danger of being cancelled and CBS has already renewed the show for season 15. Still, it’s fun to watch the ratings. Stay tuned.
On NCIS, Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team of special agents continue to investigate crimes that involve the US Navy and Marine Corps. The rest of the season 14 cast includes Brian Dietzen, David McCallum, Emily Wickersham, Pauley Perrette, Rocky Carroll, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Jennifer Esposito, and Duane Henry.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The 13th season of NCIS averaged a 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 16.61 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS TV series? Do you think it should have already been renewed for season 15 on CBS?
Please get rid of Bishop , my enjoyment of ncis has gone down since she was introduced.
Totally agree
She brings nothing to the show cannot act
Kate was never really replaced
Not happy about 2 new comers to show.
Absolutely
Yes renew NCIS!
Yes renew!
“NCIS” is so exciting. We need these shows more than sitcom. I’ve watched “NCIS ” since it began & watch the reruns. I think it would be great to bring back Ziva & DiNozzo for a couple of episodes. All NCIS shows should stay on the air. I’m not fond of any of the sitcom shows. Action/mystery is much more interesting.
Dropped almost a full point since the start of the season.
I don’t like it since Michael Weatherby left even tho Abbey is still on it. But my husband still loves watching it. I wish Michael was still on it.
I still like the show I watch every week please give it another year at least. all the ncis shows are my personal favorites
I have stopped watching it. Since Michael Weatherby left it is no good! Besides, what is NCIS without Tony and Ziva (yeah, I hate that Ziva was killed too!) I strongly dislike the 2 new agents on the show.
I to have watched N.C.I.S since it was a spin of from JAG, but when Michael Weatherby left the show it went down hill from there, I guess Am use to seenin Tony Denosso gettin a Gibbs.
I have been an NCIS fan since day ONE. I still love the show and I hope CBS will continue to renew it.
The character of Agent Quinn adds nothing to the show, neither does the British character, they just sort of “show up”.. Wilmer Valderamma’s character does.
Interesting!! I have watched NCIS since the 1st program. It was the in show. Now season 14–you lost it!! You are trying to be PC and it shows! The new characters are just given the jobs so you can show diversity! You went from a powerful show to a training session on political correctness!! You lost the power of teamwork!!!
What a shame that a once mighty show has come to this. Watch any show from season 3-9 and then watch season 14 and compare them. The wonderful mesh of all the characters, the spark, the fun are all but gone. More than that, it was just so effortless and now it seems forced and clunky. Tony DiNozzo was a core part of the show and gelled all the characters together. Sadly I think that Mark Harmon is getting too old to carry off the head honcho role (he is 66 I believe, so it is not like he has… Read more »
Totally agree!
