NCIS is going to try to return to basics for season 14. The end of season 13 of this popular CBS series saw the departure of Michael Weatherly, and the potential addition of two new faces to the team. Gary Glasberg still needs to figure out how Sarah Clarke’s FBI agent Tess Monroe and Duane Henry’s MI-6 agent Clayton Reeves fit in the action on the drama.
However, Glasberg’s big plan is to bring the series back to its roots. According to TV Line, he said that he “super-eager to reset, to move on and move forward … and get back to the lightness and the mystery that NCIS is known for.”

I think it’s a good idea to go back to the roots and lighten NCIS up a little. But what kind of show will it really be without Tony AND Gibbs? Can’t imagine it without Gibbs. We might watch it once to check it out, but I’m not sure of that. Gibbs just can’t leave!!
If Gibbs is ever written out of the show, either by killing him off OR by a supposed promotion, I will definitely NOT be watching it any longer. Gibbs is NCIS!! It’s going to be hard enough adjusting to Dinozo being gone but without Gibbs they may as well just cancel the entire program. I’m very disappointed that Weatherly has left the show. Perhaps he’s looking for bigger and better for himself. Seriously, I don’t think it will happen for him. Look at Cote d Pablo.
