According to Deadline, Netflix has renewed The OA TV show for a second season. In its first installment, the eight-part series centers on Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), a missing blind girl, who returns to the community in which she grew up, with her sight restored.
A supernatural fantasy drama, The OA also stars Jason Isaacs, Emory Cohen, Scott Wilson, Alice Krige, Patrick Gibson, Brandon Meyer, Brandon Perea, Ian Alexander, and Phyllis Smith. Back in December, co-creators Marling and Zal Batmanglij discussed the possibilities of season two on Netflix.

So glad there will be a second season. For over a year, I have been waiting for there to be “new episodes on ? date” under the details screen on Netflix. I bet the new season will be well worth the wait. Or at least I hope.
Way to get me all hooked on the show OA and then not have a second season! TORTURE! I think the acting and writing is brilliant! PLEASE give us at least one more season!
I really loved this show!!! I will def keep watching if you ever get off your butts and air another season in my lifetime! It drives me crazy however that networks, streaming services and other producers make us wait years for additional seasons. These aren’t novels you’re writing here! There should be no need for us to have to hunt down info on shows to see if they are cancelled or if the studios are just too inept to figure out what shows they’re going to air and without making us wait a year and a half and then have… Read more »
