What do you think? Are you enjoying the Outlander TV show? Will you be tuning in for the series’ return?
I enjoyed, and continue to enjoy the books. Black Jack was a bit too sadistic for my taste, and Im worried about the end of book 1 when he rapes and almost kills Jamie. This is another great story about true love (like Twilight), and I love the story and the tv series. I think the characters are well cast, especially Claire and Jamie. I think waiting until April 15 (if the episodes are already filmed) is too long. And Im looking forward to the first 8 episodes to be rleased in DVD.
Great job, starz.
Loved the books, I have 8 sisters and we have all read them. We each have our own set as we re read them. The show is wonderful, I love the casting of the actors. Scenery is amazing. I’m looking forward to April 4,2015, only wish it was sooner. Would love to visit Scotland, however unable to finance it at this time. I have met Diana Gabaldon at one of her book signings in Jacksonville, FL. Lovely lady. I have always been extremely interested in Scotland as my ancestors (Wrye’s) hail from there. Good job in translating the book into… Read more »
I love the series also. I have just completed the Outlander book. Really sorry I didn’t discover the series sooner! I think the casting of the characters are perfect and can hardly wait til April!, Now if only Starz would buy the rights to the Longmire series that A& E so stupidly cancelled…….my life would be perfect!!
I absolutely love the Series! Having read the books three times, I kmow how amazing they are. The Outlander TV series has not let me down. I love most of the changes they made for adaptation to TV. The quality of this production is astounding. I commend the cast and staff for their attention to detail. This bookreader can not get enough of Outlander TV.
I’m rereading the book as it shows. But, I’ve read them three times over the years. Feel very Scottish/Irish.
I have been waiting until the end of the season to write to you about the “Outlander” series. I have been an “Outlander” fan since the first book came out and have waited eagerly for each new one. I daresay that those of us who consider ourselves “outlanders” know the stories by heart and have re-read them often. We know every plot turn and much of the dialogue. Diana Gabaldon has provided us with many details about the appearance and character of each of the characters in the book. In fact, when my friend (also an “outlander”) and I went… Read more »
I often wonder myself way they feel they have to change things that are in a book and are going to have it in a movie or (series) and have to change it. It’s already written out not that hard. I get changing actors they seem the best for the part. But you don’t need to change the personality that was written for them it sucks. Please bring the mid-series back sooner let in Januray. After holidays but not 6 months later. Too long. I am thinking of dropping Stars as well until then. If you have a great series… Read more »
Leesa, Read the books; they’re much better. Claire is a spunky, witty, and brave woman.
This is a TV show adaptation not the book movie you have in your head. We all have different Jamie and Claire’s in our movie minds…these characters are pretty damn close to what most of us have there. Sorry you’re not happy with…turn it off then and let the rest of us enjoy both versions. Love all the tv characters so far and they’re acting is spectacular! !!
I love Outlander! I cannot get enough of this story.
I’m another sandy and i love the series.
I can’t wait till April 2015! Now I have to read all the books! Love, love, love the show!!!!!
This is a great series….have recorded all so far….looking forward to it returning next April…..I even bought the book to keep up with the series……..
Really do enjoy the series but do they have to put such a long break mid-season? I forget what happened and lose interest. Spoke with my friends who also love the show but we all agree, mid-season breaks in all the shows we watch ensure we lose interest & don’t bother watching anymore.
Absolutely love/loved the series. Have recorded all episodes so that I can watch them “whenever”. Did the Outlander marathon on Starz leading up to the final episode. Since Season 2 does not resume until April, I am going to purchase the books to read in the winter months.
I agree it’s not right to string people along for 8 months to get the second half of the season. I also think I will drop Starz until April. Much as I love the show I not interested in paying for 8 months with no Outlander. Does this mean we can expect to have to wait another 8 months for the second season?
I love this series, love the great things Stars does. Just don’t get rid of the show like you did Camolot. Just like outlander. Camolot was written amazingly great twists just wish they bring it back. Thanks for the great movies.
Can’t wait. I’ve never read the books. I’m hooked line and sinker. What a riveting story absolutely love the characters and Jamie and Claire are amazing.
Oh my gosh. This is by far the best series I’ve ever watched. I haven’t read the books but if I live long enough I will. The actors somebody cast are so perfect and Jamie, what can I say, I think I’m in love. HaHa. I’m 68 Thank you STARZ. MY NEW FAVORITE NETWORK !!!
I have read all of the books several times through and have been enjoying the series immensely. That said, I am on a tight budget and it was a stretch subscribing to Starz. Until the next set of these come on, I will be cancelling my subscription. Maybe if enough of us drop it for 6 months, the message will be heard and the rest of the first season will come a little bit sooner..
