ABC, You’re doing the right thing canceling this terrific show. It makes sense to keep as many non-terrific, dismal shows on the air as possible. Advertisers prefer to target people of below-average intelligence, who have tiny amounts of discretionary income. Once so targeted, said people can hustle out and buy a bunch of cheap, low-profit staples at Wal Mart, such as plastic coffee mugs.
If you keep terrific shows like The Deep End on the air you’re asking for trouble. In time you might attract an audience of folks with above-average intelligence and income such as young lawyers and doctors, and then God only knows what kind of crazy profitable ads for great products targeted at affluent viewers you’d have to deal with. It would really be kind of a hassle.
If mediocrity and shrinking profits are what you’re after, I think that’s very noble and selfless of you. Certainly canceling this show will certainly be an important step toward achieving those goals.
PLEASE bring this show back. It had the best cast and plot scenarios I’ve seen since the original first season of Smallville. It really stood out from the rest. It was funny and romantic and yet still maintained a serious tone when necessary. As a college student, I can assure you that this show means a lot to us. It shows that there are more things to life than just everyday teenage drama. The show portrays real people who face real life scenarios. PLEASE! We NEED this show. It’s so raw and real. Do you really want to put our countries future in the hands of a generation raised on Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries? Please bring the show back. We truly need something that will teach us how to think on our toes and face REAL LIFE problems. What has happened to the world when an amazing show like this is so easily cancelled? Be the change that my generation so desperately needs and start by raising the bar and bringing the deep end back.
dont cancel the deep end! im a huge fan of the show just by the first 6 episodes. give it time and the viewership will go up. some of the greatest shows in the past havent been majorly popular right away, friends, seinfeld, you name it. give the show a chance 😀
I really enjoyed watching this show. I liked the cast and the story. I looked forward to watching The Deep End every week. Please bring it back. It deserves to come back for another season. I think this show is much better than some of the other shows that are shown on ABC.
Deep end was and still is one of my favourite show to watch. I truly believe that it is a great show and has so much potential that was missed because of bad luck. It was released at a very bad time and only got 6 episodes to prove its worth. I and many of my friends await the time when we can buy the next episode on itunes and i plea that we and a very large community of fans are not let down.

it premiered during the Olympics no wonder why it did so low on ratings. Give is another chance. It was a fresh new show. Loved it! tuned it every wk and very disappointed yet another great show is goine without a fair chance
I love this show! Billy Zane is amazing, as is the rest of the cast. I know it might seem corny but this show was on when I had just started dating my boyfriend, who is Australian. Watching the chemistry between Beth (an american) and Liam (an australian) really hit home for me and was a joy to watch. I want more!!!!!

Please bring back The Deep End for another serason…it is a great show. There is nothing in the new ABC primetime lineup that even interests me now.
