What’s This TV Show About?
A darkly comedic AMC supernatural drama from creators Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, Ian Colletti, and Graham McTavish. Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, Justin Prentice, and Ronald Guttman join in the second season. AMC teases that Preacher season two follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Cooper), along with his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Negga) and Irish vampire Cassidy (Gilgun) as they take off on a road trip to find God. This thrusts them into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Preacher averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.17 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 36% and down by 30%, respectively. Learn how Preacher stacks up against other AMC TV shows.

I loved Preacher and would still be watching if not for the depiction of Jesus. That was a horrible mockery and a slap in the face to Christ our Lord. I felt horrible after watching that scene and did the only thing I felt I could do by immediately deleting it from my dvr record list. I truly hate that as I love the three main actors.
It is a TV show and I disagree with it being a slap in the face to Christ our Lord. I feel it was more of a reminder to us to beware of false Prophets, as there are many out there. Its all in the way one views a TV SHOW! It would be a shame to lose this great piece of entertainment due to people taking it personally and taking it way out of context. Sit back and enjoy what may be the last few episodes and take it for what it is…A TV SHOW!!!!!
I feel the same way. crossed it off my list. there was only one way to view that show. they still show our lord laying with a *****, having and idiot son. please isn’t it a plain attack on christians
Gotta agree with Beth. This is just a TV show — BASED ON A COMIC. Now, I know people haven’t seen/read the comic (I haven’t), but think of it this way: How come you weren’t offended by the false God in season 1? Why was that okay? My mom’s a Christian, and yes, she was upset, but also understood that THIS IS FICTION. As an Agnostic, I didn’t feel offended, because I had already read a version of Jesus procreating in the “Da Vinci Code”. (My caps aren’t me yelling, this site doesn’t have italics so that’s how I’m emphasizing)… Read more »
I was so disgusted with their portrayal of Jesus. But not surprised because Seth Rogan is a part of the show. No longer a fan or a viewer. I say cancel!
I agree with you. Even if this is cable and the show is rated as for a mature audience with some nudity, strong language and sexual situations, that is no excuse for the crap they produced for episode 10. I am by no means a prude but I it is abundantly clear that the intent of those responsible for episode 10 was to humiliate and insult Christians and their faith in the most vile and perverted of ways.
