Season two of Fuller House will bring some familiar names and unfamiliar faces. TVLine reports Full House characters Nelson Burkhard and Kathy Santoni will appear in the Netflix series, but the original actors won’t.
If you recall, Nelson (Jason Marsden) was DJ’s (Candace Cameron Bure) rich ex-boyfriend in the original series, while Kathy (Anne Marie McEvoy) was her high school “frenemy.”
The characters will appear in the new season at DJ’s high school reunion, with Nelson “still obnoxiously wealthy, constantly boasting about his yacht and three houses, while Kathy is every bit as bitchy and pregnant as we remember her.”
So why aren’t Marsden and McEvoy reprising their roles? While McEvoy hasn’t commented on the casting, Marsden did joke about it on Twitter:
