What’s Blair Underwood up to in Quantico? Recently, the actor spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his role in season two of the ABC series.
In the new season, Underwood will play Owen Hall, a lead instructor at the CIA’s training facility. He joins fellow castmembers Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Masri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta, and Josh Hopkins.
Discussing his character, Underwood said Hall is a “bit of a mystery”:
He’s a bit of a mystery [because of] whether or not he has an ulterior motive in training his recruits. What we know is he’s great at what he does, and we know that he was one of the top operatives in the CIA, but how he left and why he left is a mystery.”
He added that character is particularly tough on Chopra’s character, Alex:
He knows that she could be one of the best, if not the best operative, so he’s hard on her. He’s constantly busting her chops, because he knows she can be the best.”
Season two of Quantico premieres on September 25th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
