Queen of the South will continue its reign. Deadline reports USA Network has renewed the TV show for a fifth season.
The drama stars Alice Braga as Teresa Mendoza, a woman on the run from a powerful drug cartel, who seeks refuge in the U.S. The cast also includes Veronica Falcón, Hemky Madera, Peter Gadiot, Jon-Michael Ecker, Idalia Valles, and Nick Sagar.
It’s not surprising USA Network has renewed Queen of the South for a fifth season. The series has been one of the network’s top-rated shows since it debuted in 2016. And so far, season four has been no different.
Queen of the South is currently averaging a .29 rating in the 18-49 demo and 911,000 viewers. Even though that’s a near 20% drop in the ratings since season three, the show remains popular with fans.
The season four finale of Queen of the South premieres on USA Network tonight, August 29th, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Simply love this show.. been a fan since the 1st episode. Also put a couple of my family members on to the show. Cant get enuff of Teresita an Peto.. sad about Xavier love his cousin Bose. However its spelt. A lil surprised James is back. But I’m already ready to see what’s up his sleeve.

This show is too good just for the summer! I wish it aired during fall/ spring seasons! It’s a shame that fans have to wait an entire year to watch new seasons.

I’m so excited to find out that there will be a season 5, I also didn’t realized that I was watching the finale. I was left with the need to watch more, so please keep on writing many seasons to come. Love the actors, and the story line, so please don’t stop airing la cabrona, Queen of the South.

I’m personally THRILLED that Queen of the South has been renewed for Season 5! Yay! I love this show. I’ve been a fan since the debut. I didn’t realize that Episode 13 was the finale, though, last Thursday! I was looking forward to watching the new episode tonight when I began to realize that last week was the finale! Awww! Oh well, at least there will be a whole new season to look forward to next year! Alice Braga is beautiful and a great actress.

so glad it’s coming back. I love that show. My husband and I have watched it from the beginning. Acting is great and I like the storyline. I’d assume that the previous seasons would be on streaming? I like to recommend shows that I think friends would like but would need to catch up from the beginning. Otherwise it makes no sense.
Season 4 was everything! The only tv show I live for week to week when it airs. Fantastic cast. I turned my sister and best friend on to this because they got tired of me talking about it. They found that they liked it as well as I do. Very happy that there’s a season 5 coming. Best show on this network since burn notice ended, another one of my favorites. Keep the shows coming USA.
Yes absolutely. Best show on the air. Very cool show. Excellent writing and actors with great story lines and twists. Hope it’s on for many years to come
One more episode would have been great ! The last episode wasn’t a cliffhanger, rather , can’t wait for next week to see what’s going to happen. Keep writing, love the show.
