The show about people returning from the dead — is now dead itself. ABC has cancelled their Resurrection TV series after two seasons on the air.
On Resurrection, a small town in Missouri is turned upside down when long-dead loved ones return after 30 years. The cast includes Omar Epps, Frances Fisher, Matt Craven, Devin Kelley, Mark Hildreth, Samaire Armstrong, Sam Hazeldine, Landon Gimenez, and Kurtwood Smith.
The series debuted well but the ratings declined over the course of its first season — averaging a 2.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.32 million viewers. The network brought it back anyway and the second season debut was down by more than 40% when compared to the series debut.
By the end of the second season, Resurrection’s second year ratings average was at a 1.26 rating in the demo with 4.67 million — a season-to-season decline of 50%.
The last episode aired on January 25th and sadly didn’t offer viewers a resolution to the story.

I liked this series. I sorry it won’t be back. Things were left unresolved. One more season could have done that.
When the show started up Walking a Dead hadn’t started yet. When it did start viewers had to choose Walking Dead or Resurrection We DVR’d it but I am certain a lot of people started watching Walking Dead because it already has such a great following. They should have moved the time it was on and I am certain it would have done extremely well. Too bad We really liked it.
Someone FINALLY puts on a few shows that are different from the rest. Something new, refreshing and thought-provoking and it gets cancelled. RIDICULOUS! BRING IT BACK!!

Wow, thanks ABC/Disney for cancelling ANOTHER great show in the middle of a cliff hanger!! This is why people don’t like to watch network TV! It’s so annoying to get into shows that get cancelled with out warning !! Cristela-poof! Reba, poof! There are so many others. It really is so annoying!!
I cant believe this series is cancelled! We were never even given a clue it would be cancelled. Do the ratings including viewing on other sites such a as Hulu which is where me and my friends watched the show?! Unreal. Very disappointed!!
Resurrection…..was a great show, wish it was coming back.
I liked the show I have been waiting for the return. It is sad that I can’t find closure.

boycot ABC until such time that they bring back RESSURECTION! I SENT A MESSAGE TO MEDIACOM AND ASKED THEM TO BRING BACK RESURRECTION!
I wish that the networks would think about their viewers, not just the ratings, and at least provide a final episode to bring a con ludsion and not leave us hanging. It would be nice for them to consider us for once.

All the money your channel makes and you take a really good show off of tv??? Stop getting viewers interested in shows and then canceling them…A lot of people didn’t watch it the night it came on, but I am sure they use dvr… No respect at all for your viewer!!! I was looking to see when it was going to start back up, now i see they ended the show….. my husband does NOT watch tv and this was the one and only one show he watched andhe looked forward to watching it. I had family, friends into it was well. very disappointed that this will not be ruturning. That really is a disappointment.
Wow been wondering when the season premier was coming on. Only to just read ABC has cancelled it. I thought this was a really good show. Somebody needs to pick this up………
Very disappointed that it’s not coming back. Will hope that another station will pick it up-even if it’s not NBC or CBS. I think it would do well on FX or Syfy channel!
