Heralded as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s return to television, Ringer couldn’t hold onto its audience. The show’s been cancelled after one season and 22 episodes.
As Ringer begins, we meet Bridget (Gellar), a former stripper and recovering alcoholic who’s witnessed a murder and goes to stay with her estranged twin sister Siobhan (also Gellar). Her sister disappears so Bridget takes Siobhan’s place and soon realizes that her sister’s life was more complicated than her own. The TV series also features the talents of Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, Mike Colter, Tara Summers, Kristoffer Polaha, Zoey Deutch, Justin Bruening, Billy Miller, Jason Dohring, Nicole Anderson, and Gage Golightly.
Considering the amount of promotion that The CW put behind it, Ringer’s premiere had to viewed as a bit of a disappointment. It registered a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.84 million total viewers.

In week two, the demo dropped a whopping 25% to a 0.9 rating with 1.94 million. Week thee remained stable but week four plunged 33%.
Over the course of the season, the ratings fluctuated but also dwindled downward. They fell as low as a 0.4 rating (several times) with as few as 1.05 million viewers.
With very few hours of primetime real estate to fill, it just didn’t make sense for The CW to renew Ringer for a second season. They’ve cancelled the show and the last episode aired on April 17th. Since it wasn’t expected to be a series finale, several storylines were left up in the air.

wtf! i love geller and love more this tv show whyyyyyy ! ringer is somthing different! im very upset about this ! give it a chance and i want to see what happen igf she gonna have a chance with him 🙁 so stupid the directors! and i watch it allways in internet!
So upset Ringer will not be on again! I NEED to know how it’s supposed to end!!!! I recorded every episode on DVR even tho I watched every episode as it aired just to rewatch it later! I loved the show! I had to really pay attention and that sucked me in even more! I’m hooked! Addicted even! And now… Nothing?! I’m pleading, bring it back! Bring it back! Bring it back! I love Ringer and the cast was great!
If they want to cancel the show I think they ought to shoot at least a few episodes to resolve things instead of leaving the show hanging.

I absolutely loved ringer and wishit to return for a second season! The show was different and unique and didn’t have no similar story line that other shows share.
i think that it is a shame that ringer didnt get the viewings but i for one loved it i found it very intresting but now it wont be coming back for season 2 i dont understand why they bothered in the first place there have been no answers to the stoy line, did andrew stay with bridget or get back with Siobhan? did the cop catch the muderer and get revenge or not? please put it back on even if it is only to answer the unanswered questions that the millions of viewers that the show did have get… Read more »

Follow CW series is starting to be like reading books with no last chapters, useless and desapointing.. a litle more respect for the millions who followed every minute would be nice for a change..

Wow! I’m like totally in disbelief right now. I really thought for sure I found an awesome tv show that I could watch for more than 1 season. This sucks every time I find a show that I absolutely love they cancel it on me :(. First was Tru Calling than it was Dollhouse after that it was No Ordinary Family and now Ringer this makes me so sad please don’t cancel it I love this show. P.S pretty pretty please give Ringer another chance.
