The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

This was just starting to get good. Good show and good actor. I am really disappointed!!!
No RUSH? Cancelled? I loved Tom Ellis! I loved the concept of the show, it was something different each week. You should have cancelled Satisfaction, simply because how long would those two be able to keep up their facade? I’m horribly disappointed as well as angered that Covert Ops was cancelled. You messed up royally, which brings me to, you should’ve gotten rid of Royal Pains it’s gotten stale & rather tiresome.
Hell yes I would have water season 2. Absolutely loved the show and can’t believe it’s not being renewed!!! TNT you suck!!!! Love Dr. Rush. BIG mistake by canceling

I can’t believe this. I was really enjoying this show. The characters and storyline were all good. Very disappointed. Hope another network will pick it up.
Rush was a very good show, you should has canceled Satisfaction, it was sleazy.
I looked forward to this show each week. Quite dismayed to learn it is not returning.

Such a great show! Getting cancelled due to people downloading or streaming illegally and they don’t get the proper ratings cause of that. Hope another network can pick it up!!! Would be a great fit for CBS or ABC
