Salvation will end its first, and possibly last season, next week, and details for the finale have been released. The series has not yet been renewed for a second season, and ratings for the series have been low at .52 in the demo numbers and an average of 3.564 million viewers.
CBS revealed the full details about the Salvation finale, titled “The Plot Against America,” in a press release. Check that out below.
“Harris, Grace and Darius must topple the illegitimate government, and Darius makes final plans for the ark, on the season finale of SALVATION, Wednesday, Sept. 20 at a special time (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

I think the writing is good. Acting really good. I know the ratings are low, but 2 nd season is a chance to add more mystery and suspense in the writing. I think a 2 nd season would be really good. I approve of a second season
I have really enjoyed the series.
Absolutely—and there are other crises this show could tackle beyond the meteor crisis—in fact the meteor, or part of it could actually take out the polar ice cap causing worldwide flooding and events of catastrophic proportions the likes which have yet to be seen on the show. They could aslo take on global warming, biochemical warfare, Y2K type mania of malfunctioning global technology, etc. You might be able to pull in some characters from the produer’s other show ‘Scorpion’ for crossover appearances since we don’t know if these worlds are unalligned. I agree with everyone else; the story is awesome, the characters draw you in, and it is produced very well. We need a second season! I will be devastated and probably boycott CBS if this show does not continue.
We need a second season now. It has gotten better and more intense with every new episode, and the stories have progressed at a great pace and with great twists and surprises – not like a 25-episode season where a story is visited in episode 3 and then you have to wait until episode 15 to see it again. And when we get this far into a season, it can’t be cancelled without a definitive conclusion. I’ve watched several other shows over the years, and there’s nothing worse than cancelling a show without a proper ending.
My husband and I look forward so very much to watching “Salvation” on Wed. nights. It’s a well written show with very good acting. We have enjoyed watching Jennifer Finnigan on other movies and shows, and she does not disappoint here! Please do NOT cancel this series.
This is a well written sic-fi drama/thriller with good character development, great actors with intelligent writing. Love the sci-fi quality of the show. Why even think of cancelling this show? The low ratings could be because of the day/time slot?! All you see on TV these days are stupid reality shows that glamorize people who take enjoyment in putting others down and promoting poor values. This is the only network show I’ve followed in months. I have not been able to tolerate any of the other current offerings. This does not bode well. Shows I thoroughly enjoy are routinely canceled.
Therefore, I hereby denounce it. Hate it, hate it, hate it. (wink, wink, nod, nod)

This is a very well written show with an excellent cast. Even though the ratings might be lower than expected, it was a great summer with little rain and most people were probably out past 9 pm. Believe it would do much better in the 10 pm slot. The plot and sub plots are original with a lot of great twists. Please renew!
Salvation is a guilty pleasure to watch, a pure thriller with a sci-fi edge. We need a conclusion such as the asteroid can not be stopped, with all caricatures crumbling with society. Season two please.
I have watched every episode. It gets better and better. The actors, writers and storylines keep me interested. I hope the show is renewed for another season. I love the show.
Please renew this series. I think it’s a great series. At least give us a season 2 and conclude the series.

Absolutely I love this show and it’s stars some are doing double duty on regular series even my husband is watching and he doesn’t like much of anything.
