Airing on USA Network, Satisfaction has certainly attracted a lot of distinct opinions. Some love the series and want a second season while others liken it to pornography and feel it should be cancelled as soon as possible. Most importantly to USA though is, how’s it been doing in the ratings?
On Satisfaction, a successful married man (Matt Passmore) has his world turned upside down when he discovers that his wife (Stephanie Szostak) of 18 years has hired a professional lover (Blair Redford). Through a series of events, he ends up deciding to try the escort business for himself. Others in the cast include Michelle DeShon and Katherine LaNasa.
The show debuted on July 17th to 1.7 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Compared to other shows on USA, this was not a great start.
The ratings dropped in later weeks but have also rebounded a bit as well. To date, the season is averaging 1.4 million viewers with a 0.4 demo rating.
Satisfaction is one of the lowest-rated shows on USA right now — and the cable channel is having a lot of problems in the ratings department. All of their older shows are way down year-to-year.
While that fact might improve Satisfaction’s chance of survival, I suspect the execs will cancel the series and put their time and energy into launching another new show.
But, what do you think? Do you like Satisfaction on USA? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
10/2 update: USA has renewed Satisfaction for a second season.
Please keep the show!!!!!!!! Second season please!!!!
My husband and I love this show. It is well written , well acted. We are hoping for another season. It makes you think which of course is a good thing… Bring it back.!
This is a great show, look forward to next episode so we know what happens … would be sorry to know it does not continue
I LOVE SATISFACTION ON USA NETWORK , I hope for a season 2 this show gave great in ur face moments and had mystery to every character. much of my heart loves Graceland also on the same network I think Graceland should b canceled only do to a lack luster in the beginning of season two there was no punch bang or boom in ur face moments until the last four episodes of the season.
Please stop the show very boring
I enjoyed the show, needed more detailing, all over the place but that is what keeps us coming back for more. Writers need to spend more time on some of the script and get rid of others, If it comes back that is okay if not that’s ok as well, rating are what keeps shows going and people do not want to confront failing marriages. what will be will be. wrong actors in some of the spots, just my opinion
Phenomenal show!
renew for sure
I love the show and cannot wait for season 2. I think the show became more interesting with every episode. The show is so very interesting and while it certainly is not for everyone, I for one, certainly hope it is renewed. Loved it!
I agree…please keep this show.
It would be a huge mistake on the part of USA to cancel this program. While some people might find it offensive, I have found it to be extraordinarily interesting to watch the character development of each of the main characters on this show including that of the daughter. If people do not want to watch it, they have the option of watching something else. Considering the number of programs on television that have poor character development and inane plots, Satisfaction is a show that should be renewed by USA. If they choose to cancel it, another network should remove… Read more »
Please keep the show on! Love it! Could’t wait till Thursday night to come around to see it again. The characters and story are wonderful.
Love it, Please dont leave us hanging!…its a great show, lots of plot twists, and really it cant be that expensive to film…. SECOND SEASON PLEASE!!!
Please please renew it. Great show
I wish that it wasn’t about ratings and such and more about the measure of writing and talent of the actors. The time slot that Satisfaction airs in is such that the pieces of the whole pie are just too small to enjoy. I hate it when shows slip through the cracks because they have to compete with shows that have a strong following already. Frankly, USA will waste more money trying to substitute a start up with similar talent and that is of sub-par caliber.
