Telly’s Take
Based on the ratings, things already didn’t look good and then they started airing two episodes a night which smelled like a burnoff. The Viacom execs have been shuffling programs on their channels (including BET, CMT, TV Land, VH1, and MTV) so they may be okay with this big dip in the ratings as they try to establish the new Paramount Network. I’ll keep a hungry eye out and will update this page with breaking developments (and, hopefully, my supper plans). What do you think? Do you hope the The Shannara Chronicles TV show will be renewed for a third season? How do you feel about Spike/Paramount Network cancelling this TV series?
Oh DEFINITELY renew for season 3, please. Completely enjoyable. Loved the books, love the show.
More please.
I love the Shannara Chronicles!!!!!!!
I want a season 3 and more!!!!!
I am currently watching about 10 different series and out of all this has been my favorite. I really hope they renew the show for a third season
I like this serie! There were parts about season one I didn’t like; the annoying personalities. But I still enjoyed the show as a whole and I loved season 2. Really hurts Allanon won’t be in the hopefully S3. Just love Manu Bennett! Hope they’ll still keep him in the show
It had to be the network change that caused the bad ratings, I honestly didn’t know about the 1st season for a while and I was going through Netflix looking for a new show to watch and found it and me and my girlfriend loved it! Then just about a month ago I happened to see the new season as I was cruising through the guide! I never seen any type of advertisement or anything to alert me that it was back on! Spike should be ashamed of themselves for taking a good show and possibly ruining it for a… Read more »
I love this show so much i will be mad if no season 3 please be season 3
Season 3 !!!!!!!!!!! 🙁
Please dont cancel this show!!!!!! I love this series it has been 1 of my favs and i look so forward to watching it every week. I loved the 2 hr episodes i think it would be amazing if they continued doing this but make twice as many episodes. Its like watching a movie…. That has been my worst pet peeves about all the shows on T.V you just get in to it and then with all the commercials it just feels like its over way too soon!! Love the characters and the storyline 2 hr episodes would make it… Read more »
Can’t wait to see what happens in Season 3! Good series based on a cool set of books. Do not cancel.
Though the show may have it’s flaws, what show doesn’t? I think that it should be given more of a chance in advertising wise. Also after a two year hiatus people aren’t going to realize the shows even back on and the lack of promotion wasn’t helping.
One of the very few cinematic products i liked more than original books on which it was based on. And Malese Jow’s character helped a ton to make 2d season better than previous. Crossing fingers for 3d season. Feel bad that Allanon died tho. At least maybe we’ll see him in flashbacks, druid’s or demon’s worlds…
I live this show and found that it was on a new channel by accident. Please do not cancel it.
I really hope they renew this show. I feel like they didn’t advertise the show enough and that fans didn’t know it had changed networks and when it would air
Hope the show is back for a third season and more.
I think that it should be verifyed the google seach number about “shannara”… many people stream it in way that it could not be counted… but to stream episodes, they have to search it… and also after had sarch it, it is not possoble to verify how many episodes were really watched (cause after find a streaming site, it is possuble to see all episodes without need to search “shannara” again on google).
