Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
Like many I having been anticipating the return of this heart warming, inspiring and well written character development, show. Now I must watch three movies? I want to know what happens with the letter mailed to Oliver’s wife. So much depth here for all of the characters to grow and develop but now we are being robbed of this growth that would endear us to be even more faithful followers. You cannot get good character development in a movie. And what about the weekly inspiration we all want from a show like this? I am very disappointed in the new… Read more »
so beautifully putI totally agree.the series is inspiring I’ve been counting down for the new season alsoI really hope they will consider bringing it back as a series.
I have been waiting eagerly for the return of Signed Sealed Delivered. I feel that we viewers are being short changed here. A whole season reduced to three movies! Less is NOT more, no matter how you hype it. In addition to the lost letter mysteries, the secondary stories about the characters were charming and meant that I never missed an episode. I am very disappointed. Bring back the full season.
We love the weekly series and have been looking forward to the upcoming season. Why do networks backburner the good shows and then go direct to a movie format. Please, keep the show as a seasonal show – then do the special holiday movies as well. The series is special in that we all connect in an engaging and humbling way, reminding us that while the Universe goes on through infinity, there are still miracles which can bring about connections in our day to day lives.
Why 24 hours of Christmas movies every day. Please bring back some of the favorites such as Murder She Wrote and Diagnosis Murder.
Amazing weekly program that shouldnt have been stopped.Just like touched by a angel. You have disappointed a lot of people.
Oh no! Please bring back the weekly series. We are three generations and our family looks forward to it every week and we have been counting the days until the new season. I am so disappointed that there will only be a movie now and then. Please, please, please bring it back weekly.
This is an amazing series that my daughter and I looked forward to watching every week. Please bring this back as a weekly series. We miss it very much!
PLZ bring back the weekly series… I so look forward to it every week
Love it, love it
Can’t get enough of a good show. Please keep it on the air as a regular series. It’s a breath of fresh air amid the violence and crudity of the other stations’ shows.
Please bring Signed, Sealed and Delivered back as a series on the Hallmark Channel or if you are just going to have the 2 hour movies, play them on the Hallmark Channel too; not everyone has the movie channel. I love your series and movies that are on the Hallmark Channel.
Just got involved in this series and was looking forward to next season. Great series. But of course it does not have any violence in it. Please bring it back. A refreshing series when we need refreshness. Wonderful characters, love the bond established between everyone.
I love the idea of the 2-hour movies keep those but also bring it back as a series. It is about the only show a family can watch that is decent! My WHOLE family watches it (my parents who are in their 60’s, my daughter who is 12, my sister, my husband and I ages ranging from (35 to 41), my grandma who is in her 80’s. So PLEASE bring it back as a series and with the 2-hour movies. Can’t get enough of the show!!! We all love Signed, Sealed, and Delivered!!!!!!
I’m with you Sara , they can do both, I’m in my 60’s it’s a wonderful show.
I looked forward each week to the delightful Signed, Sealed, and Delivered series. Getting to see a full length movie based on the series periodically will be wonderful, but certainly does not take the place of the delight of seeing the show weekly. Please bring it back on a weekly basis. You got me hooked and have now placated me with a movie instead of the weekly delight of sitting down and enjoying some of my most favorite characters on tv.
Please, please, please, bring it back. My wife and I love the show. Really!
