CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
I so miss watching the show it was wonderful! Awaiting the next movie PLEASE ! TV was becoming great again.
I have just recently found your series. It is truly wonderful. Each of your characters bring so much to each show. Love them all. I Bought the complete series of one hour shows, and From Paris with Love! I wish they were all available on DVD. Your show touches the heart. The chemistry between the actors is perfect. It seems to get better and better. Higher Ground has become my favorite, if I have a favorite. They are all special. Thank you for such wonderful, touching entertainment.
I agree with everything you said about Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I kept waiting for some announcement, and now since the last 2-hour movie had some obvious “closures” with Rita and Norman getting engaged and Norman really coming out of his shell, I was worried it was going to be the finale…I sure hope not!
I was disappointed when I thought Singed Sealed and Delivered was going to be on at the same time as When Calls The Heart. They are both GREAT stories. I do hope, when it airs in November, that it will not be at the same time as When Calls The Heart. Two of the best shows on TV.
Hallmark Channel is the only reason I have cable television.
I do so agree. Nothing but trash on TV. I have cable because of Hallmark. Without Hallmark I would cancel my cable.
I love, love, love this show and the change to two hour movies makes it even better for me because I am away from home all week sitting with an elderly relative who only wants to watch depressing news channels or game shows, So,I record them on my DVR and unwind evenings by following the different story lines. The light comedy- drama is just the right mix.
I absolutely love “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”!!! MY hubby and I have fallen in love with the characters. Hallmark you have truly out done yourself!!! We want to see as many “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” movies as possible! Keep making more and more and more!!! Thank you so much for such an incredible experience.
I just found Signed sealed and delivered.its wonderful! Just asking if they are planning future /season 3 movies. Hallmark has wonderful movies that are heart warming and family oriented.
I’m glad to read that many more people want this show to go back to being a regular series. I love it so much and wish that would happen.
My husband and I recently discovered the Hallmark Mystery channel and fell in love with the wonderful Signed, Sealed, Delivered series. Thanks for a happy, well written series. We look forward to the next one with great anticipation. We watched all the series marathons this winter, but this one seems to hit us in the heart. Keep up the good work!
I agree with Pam it does hit you in the heart every time. I love that God is always part of the episode along with their patriotic pride, and doing the right thing. I would love to see weekly shows with a 2 hour movie to start the new season and a 2hr movie at Christmas. My favorite episodes were the Christmas one when the baby was born and the 2 episodes were the solder was missing overseas. This was the reason I pay extra for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. My 6yr old grand-daughter loves the show and… Read more »
We love this show and will take it, like everyone else, in any format as long as you continue to produce them with the same cast and relationships. It is a marvelous addition to Hallmark and the more interesting, clean programs we can get the better
I agree that these shows are clean and family oriented. A rare thing nowadays. I pray the powers that be reconsider a season 3 series
But with the same actors. It wouldn’t be the same without the original ones. ht
So sad. I just found out you are only showing this as movies. We really enjoyed this show and trying to figure out how they would find the people that the mail belonged to. We hope you will make it a weekly series again. It seems all good shows go to quickly. Hard to find a good series like this one that the whole family can watch.. Just told my daughter about it and she was hunting for it on TV. She called and said we can’t find it only some movie by that name. She was disappointed because I… Read more »
I wish Signed, Sealed, and Delivered was still on as a weekly series. I love watching this show. How Oliver over came and finally got together with Shane. How shy Norman and Rita finally found their love of each other. How they decipher a dead letter and deliver it to the right person. I was disappointed when they decided to switch to the 2 hour mystery show. Is there anyway to switch it back. The actor’s and actresses who play the characters does a great job. They have made each character their own and make the character seen so alive.… Read more »
I too love, love this show and want it to come back weekly! It always leaves me with happy tears?
weekly series enjoyed way more
TRULY ENJOY THIS SHOW ANS WANT TO SEE MORE FAMILY SHOWS LIKE THIS
It was my favorite show on TV.
My favorite show. I wait longingly for the new ones to come on. With all the other channels that show undesirable contents Hallmark is all I watch.
