Lost‘s Jeremy Davies has been cast as a villain in the upcoming fourth season of the Sleepy Hollow TV show on FOX. TV Line reports he will play an “eccentric and outspoken tech mogul” billionaire Malcolm Dreyfuss, who is “seeking other worlds to conquer.” Sleepy Hollow‘s 13-episode season four, which is set in Washington D.C., is slated to premiere mid-season on Fridays at 9:00pm ET/PT, opposite NBC‘s Grimm.
The report calls the Dreyfuss character “…a dark mirror to Tom Mison’s Crane, since he represents capitalism and democracy gone awry — a perversion of the American dream that Crane and the Founding Fathers fought so hard to establish.” Last week, the supernatural drama series cast Janina Gavankar in the recurring role of Diana, a Homeland Security Special Agent, to help fill the gap created when Nicole Beharie left Sleepy Hollow and her character Abbie Mills was killed off. Lyndie Greenwood co-stars as Jenny Mills.

Davies’ earliest TV series work includes appearances on Dream On in 1991, and General Hospital, The Wonder Years, and Melrose Place in 1992. After that, he primarily worked in feature films, until he was cast as Daniel Faraday, in the final three seasons of ABC‘s Lost.
