Sleepy Hollow is currently airing its third season on FOX, but could fans of the series see it return for a fourth season next fall?
Dana Walden, the woman in charge at FOX, spoke about the future of the series at the Winter TCA’s, and she is hopeful that it will return. The network has not yet made a decision yet.
According to TV Insider, she said:
“I’m really hoping Sleepy Hollow comes back. That’s where my mindset is right now…we need to take in those multi-platform numbers. We’ve seen some of them, but we haven’t seen enough yet to make a real determination about it. We’ve asked a lot of it—perform on Thursday night; it will come back for this midseason on Friday nights. We need to see how that goes. We’re trying to do it as quickly as possible so if this is our decision, we end it in a meaningful way.”
FOX is pleased with the creative direction of the series though. Walden addressed that at the Winter TCA’s as well. According to E! Online, she said:
“We’re really happy with Sleepy this season. The creative is in good shape. It’s a very difficult show to keep reinventing where that story engine is. It’s not a show we’re prepared to pick up today, but we’re liking what we’re seeing.”

Good opportunity to bring Abbie back as intra-dimensional character or invincible witness link. Not totally ready to accept new person, but new persona is good. Time travel to avoid death of Abbie and Joe also good. What good is bringing on Dad if he was not to save either or both people.
Your the one that is nuts! Besides Hell’s Kitchen, Sleepy Hollow is the only show I watch on Fox. I can’t believe they are going to renew Bob’s Burgers and Lucifer over this show. Every time I get interested in a show they have to cancel it. Sick of adult cartoons. Sad really.

I felt bad when Joe’s character was killed, but when Abbie’s was killed off as well I felt that Fox was preparing to cancel. I have read nothing about her moving to a new series or asking to leave the show, so why do it? Very tough to compete against ABC on a Thursday to begin with. And Friday is just one tough night. Truthfully, I am busy on Thursdays and generally don’t watch TV Fridays, so I have always recorded the show on the DVR, Best way to begin my Saturday mornings! that’s what you guys call a series finale?? I am a huge fan of this show and I think killing off Abbie was a mistake. I suppose if the actress wants to leave the series then so be it. There is a huge hole now in the series because so much is left unsaid, Joe’s death, Abbie’s death, and now the FBI is involved with this so called secret organization set up by George Washington leaves an enormous plot line …. what do these guys know? I am a huge fan of sleepy hollow. I pray it comes back for a 4th season. It’s always interesting, amusing , funny at moments. I love incabad Crain ( Tom Minson) he’s so talented. The whole team is great together. There’s so many ways to take this story line. I love the history , going back in time and the ghosts headless horseman. It’s so entertaining!!!! Please bring it back !! I hope you let the fans know ASAP if it’s returning for season 4

I Love Hollow and would like to see it continue a fourth, fifth and sixth season and so on..I have watched since it came on and I can’t get enough. Please don’t take my pleasure away!
I am a huge fan of Sleepyhollow. I love that there’s never a dulll moment and the intricacies of the plot forcing my mind to accept more creative avenues. The writers have been terrific. They actors incredible and I for one i’m not ready to see the show end.

Yes please…season 4 ! This well written show is a pleasure with its blend of colonial and supernatural! Not at all predictable. Makes my Friday nites!
I hope Sleepy Hollow returns for another season. It is one of my favorite shows.
