It looks like the Somewhere Between TV show has been quietly cancelled after one season on ABC. The network has removed the summer mystery drama, which premiered on July 24th, from the Disney-ABC press site. If Somewhere Between is cancelled, this means the September 19th season one finale episode, “One Must Die,” is also the de facto Somewhere Between TV series finale. An ABC television adaptation of the Korean mystery series, God’s Gift: 14 Days, Somewhere Between stars Paula Patton, Aria Birch, Devon Sawa, Catherine Barroll, JR Bourne, Samantha Ferris, Noel Johansen, Imogen Tear, Carmel Amit, Daniel Bacon, Rebecca Staab, Greyston Holt, and Matt Visser. The drama centers on news producer, Laura Price (Patton). When her daughter Serena (Birch) is murdered, the fates present Laura with a one-time-only “Groundhog Day” reset. If she saves the victims and catches the killer, she can change everything.
Somewhere Between: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Somewhere Between averaged a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.80 million viewers. Its demo ratings and total viewership were lower than all of the other summertime ABC TV shows we tracked, except Still Star-Crossed, which has already been cancelled by the network.

The series is produced by Thunderbird Entertainment in association with ITV Studios America, with ITV Studios Global Entertainment handling international distribution. Based on a Korean format from SBS, the executive producers are Stephen Tolkin (“Brothers & Sisters”), Ivan Fecan, Joseph Broido, Tim Gamble and Matthew O’Connor.

This is a very good show. It happens all the time. Good shows go. With all the good reviews it merits another go at it. ABC wake up.
It never should have been cancelled, wholesome shows never last because “sex sells” if that’s not in the show, it’s dead…shameful!!
I love this show! Just binged it on Netflix, I think they made a horrible mistake in canceling it!! ABC always screws things up and cancels shows way to early just like MTV and Freeform
Excellent show! Well written! I watched 3 episodes and then checked to see when Season 2 would start. I was sorely disappointed and more than a little peeved. Why is it that all the great, well written series get lopped off after just 10 episodes? Sadly, if the show was a reality show displaying the worst in people and portraying the very basest of humankind, it would run for 8 to 10 years. So dissapointing. Thanks, ABC —once again you’ve put out a superior, award-winning worthy show, only to let it die on the vine. Again.
Why would anyone put a great show out like this just to cancel it. Yes I understand the ratings weren’t in the range they should’ve been but I think if everything didn’t always have to be set to a time limit this would’ve took off having one of the highest ratings on ABC. Such a waste to have those people go through all the hard work and dedication just to come to an end like that. SB4L ❤️
I just binge watch Somewhere Between on Netflix in one day and loved it!! Had me on the edge the whole way through. I checked to see when 2nd season was on, just to find out it was cancelled. I would have loved to seen season 2.
Unfortunately, Somewhere Between took off a little slowly, possibly accounting for the low number of watchers and it’s cancellation. For those of us who stuck through the first 2 or 3 episodes, the show really came together and ultimately ended with an edge of your seat gripping conclusion. I loved it and would have loved to see a Season 2, most appropriately done with an entirely new cast of characters but a similar time travel component. Darn! Darn! Darn! Another great show bites the dust:(
I really don’t think the tv show should of have been canceled because it was such a great tv show I believe there should be a second season..
After watching on Netflix, I started watching last year but just had too much on my plate and it wasn’t a priority for me to watch every week. Having said all that, I think the show is phenomenal! I was on the edge of my seat to see if they could change fate and save Serena. I really enjoyed watching this show and wondered about season 2. We got the happy ending so do we really want to see Serena, her mom, and Nico go through it again. Perhaps extend the series to a new set of folks and a new story with Nico back on the force and another mystery to solve. Ijs. I don’t want Serena to keep being a victim of her father and step-father’s mistakes.

It was a GREAT series and I would very much appreciate it if season 2 was brought back.
I also just watched the whole series on Netflix, eager for season two. It was a well-done show, a little quirky but still a good mystery that kept one on the edge of their seat. PLUS I loved that the main characters did not get killed and it ended happily, unlike all these new shows that kill off main characters.
These channels don’t give a chance for shows to take off.
