Zorn is leaving Orange County for his Pacific island home — and staying there. The Son of Zorn TV show has been cancelled by FOX. There will be no season two of the Sunday comedy series.
A live-action/hybrid TV show, Son of Zorn stars Jason Sudeikis (well, his voice) as the animated title character. The FOX cast also includes Johnny Pemberton, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows, and Artemis Pebdani.
Son of Zorn: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Son of Zorn averaged a 1.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.03 million viewers. Although Son of Zorn‘s averages are respectable for FOX TV shows, its performance was erratic. It only really did well when football was its lead-in.
Word is that Son of Zorn was still being considered for a second season but production on the series is complicated and the studio was unable to find a new showrunner. The defacto series finale aire don February 19th.

Really zany and different. In some ways Zorn reminded me of Michael Scott. Refreshingly different than most other shows. Loved it. I hope they change their mind and bring it back.
I love animation. I love animation mixed with live action. I love Tim Meadows. I just couldn’t with this show. I don’t know if it was the writing or what, but adios.

I love son of zorn!!!! I thought it was genius to make a half cartoon half real comedy sitcom. At least let us find out what happens to zorn after being kidnapped.
I saw maybe three episodes of this series, got the joke after one. This is an “Adult Swim” segment, not a half-hour prime-time sitcom.

My family absolutely loves the show. So clever and funny, albeit sometimes inappropriate but that’s what makes it fun.

Well that stinks terribly!!! It was one of Fox’s few good programs. Maybe [adult swim] will pick it up because they know a good show when they see one!
