Zorn is leaving Orange County for his Pacific island home — and staying there. The Son of Zorn TV show has been cancelled by FOX. There will be no season two of the Sunday comedy series.
A live-action/hybrid TV show, Son of Zorn stars Jason Sudeikis (well, his voice) as the animated title character. The FOX cast also includes Johnny Pemberton, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows, and Artemis Pebdani.
Son of Zorn: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Son of Zorn averaged a 1.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.03 million viewers. Although Son of Zorn‘s averages are respectable for FOX TV shows, its performance was erratic. It only really did well when football was its lead-in.
Word is that Son of Zorn was still being considered for a second season but production on the series is complicated and the studio was unable to find a new showrunner. The defacto series finale aire don February 19th.

I don’t understand why it got cancelled it is a great show but I think either Hulu or Netflix should pick it up I want to see if zorn get saved and see if Alan will really have a baby
Son of Zorn was awesome. I’d be willing to bet that anyone who went into it with no expectations and just wanted to laugh enjoyed it. Those who wanted it to be have a serious plot and serious character development probably didn’t. My gf and I laughed more at that show than many other comedies. Senseless humor just to laugh isn’t for everyone though. I’ll miss this show 🙁
Son kg Zorn is awesome and to leave us without knowing what happens with his pregnant son or Zorn being kidnapped is BS. Fox is making the same mistake they did with Family Guy. They didn’t give the show enough time for viewers to hear about it and rating to rise. Bring it back and you will see. This show would be one of there top shows.
I thought the show runs right up there with family guy! Fox is ridiculous. There are many other shows that should be canceled but son of Zorn is not one of them
Fox is ridiculous. This is the best show next to Family Guy, which they also cancelled prematurely. RETURN SON OF ZORN! It did better than many of their continued series’, and they are stupid not to give it a fair shake! Hopefully somebody like Netflix picks up this gem. Please don’t waste such an original and well written comedy for more typical Fox trash
Please don’t do this. Me and my buddy love this show. We “sing the prAiSes of Zorn” with his kids. We’ve been looking forwArd to a new Season.
Son of Zorn had it’s on genre,something that i hadn’t seen for years.I didn’t expect anything from it and always ended up laughing my ass off wanting more,hell i almost watch it all the same day! BRING ZEPHYRIA ZORN AND ALANGULON BACK!!!

I thought it was an excellent show, that said Fox doesn’t compete well, I honestly hate Fox news and sports with a passion and every time they find a decent sitcom or cartoon they cancel it right off the bat. Their key demographics are older to begin with and the 18-49 demographic is almost entirely off tv. No one in my extended family still uses cable or satellite television. The ratings are actually pretty good when you consider it caters to a demographic that just isn’t there. I watched it on a third party website and found it delightful.
Why cancel the best show fox has produced? I laughed Harder at son of zorn than I did at all the episodes of family guy and American dad combined. The witty satirical comedy of Jason sudeikis mixed with the awkward intricacies of modern high school had me laughing nonstop please run some more
