Zorn is leaving Orange County for his Pacific island home — and staying there. The Son of Zorn TV show has been cancelled by FOX. There will be no season two of the Sunday comedy series.
A live-action/hybrid TV show, Son of Zorn stars Jason Sudeikis (well, his voice) as the animated title character. The FOX cast also includes Johnny Pemberton, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows, and Artemis Pebdani.
Son of Zorn: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Son of Zorn averaged a 1.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.03 million viewers. Although Son of Zorn‘s averages are respectable for FOX TV shows, its performance was erratic. It only really did well when football was its lead-in.
Word is that Son of Zorn was still being considered for a second season but production on the series is complicated and the studio was unable to find a new showrunner. The defacto series finale aire don February 19th.

Wow. All the terrible and mindless reality shows that run for countless seasons, but this original show couldn’t make a second season? It was not only a hybrid in the sense of animation, but also in it’s combination of inane humour and serious family and life messages. Netflix, please pick this one up where it left off.
Please do a second season…it was awsome watching a different kind of show…the animation along with real people was awesome… and I love the cast… keep it going please please please!!!!

I honestly enjoyed the series and I thought its He-Man aesthetic was wonderful. I liked the blend of the 80’s cartoon feeling with the modern day. It is such a shame that the show got cancelled. If season 2 were to ever take off again I would be one of the first people to watch it!
Definitely liked the show better than last Man on Earth which started okay but got horrible. Unbelievable that it’s cancelled.
I believe that Son Of Zorn was an artistic masterpiece. Mixing the 2 world’s of animation and regular sitcom, every single family member (7 different indivuals) laughed uncontrollably and will continue to follow the series as of now. Your only mistake is assuming that ANYONE HAS THE TIME TO WATCH SHOWS DURING THE SUMMER. THAT’S WHEN COLLEGE STUDENTS HAVE TIME TO WATCH SHOWS SUCH AS THESE. Best show fox had on in years. They need to renew it. They always seem to cancel the best shows and keep the crappy ones. Done with fox
I LOVE SON OF ZORN AND AM FURIOUS TH Y DID NOT RENEW FOR SEASON 2! I can’t believe they canceled the series – it was one of my favorites series on television – with the limited television I chose to watch anymore – most network TV programs are stupid pointless & even offensive! SOZ was original, funny and belly laughing clean fun – and FOX killed it! what will take its place were repeats of on the Big Bang theory or another cooking show or maybe another teen reality show … I will no longer be watching Fox network.

I really liked “Son of Zorn”. I found the character to be fun and I loved Zorn’s humor. I liked the show so much that I even purchased the season on Amazon.
My hope is that another network (possibly Netflix, Hulu, or maybe Amazon) will take over and produce a second season.
