The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

PLEASE BRING STAR BACK! This is one show that my son and I have watched together and you go and cancel it. I don’t get to spend a lot of time with my son and every week I look forward to sitting down with him and watching STAR. PLEASE BRING IT BACK! You just can’t end an amazing show like that.

Fox please bring Stars back. I watch a lot of television, and honestly just discovered Star. Most shows I watch at least one episode to give it a chance. I have binged watched every episode. Please give them at least (hopefully more), one more season, if for no other reason than to wrap up the show. If you do not want to continue the show, which would be unfortunate for Fox viewers, please pass it onto a network that does want to continue the Stars. How are you gonna end the show like that and then not have another season. So disappointed in you Fox!!!!!
Star is an amazing show. It’s so wrong to cancel the show with so many lose ends. At least do a final season four so you not leaving the viewer hanging in the balance.
I am beyond pissed that this happened. Star was my show the only one I actually liked and enjoyed I will never watch any other tv show other than star. I worked allll week and waited for star to come out. Then finally got to sit down and watch it after a long day now its never coming back!! Blasphemy I’m ready to write FOX and whoever else a letter. I want star back as do millions of other viewers. This is pathetic star was down to earth and real. How can u not bring it back!?!
I am so upset that Star is not being renewed. There was so much going on in the last episode, there were so many people shot, the baby stolen. I’m sure they knew the series would not be renewed and left us hanging. The only program I plan on watching on Fox is Beat Shazam and that is because of Jamie Foxx. I am very disappointed withe the demise of STAR.
Bring back Star season 4, it’s way more captivating than any other fox show…. literally heartbroken it got cancelled.
