The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

I’m asking that fox brings Star back. We the viewers of this well played series are left dumb founded with the last showing (5/10/2019) I’m in hopes that 5/10/2019 was Season Finale. All though it wasn’t portrayed as so. I’ve been an avid watcher since the first season. And heard more and more hype about the show here in the Northern Kentucky area each episode. Please bring star back i was a faithful watcher even when i was working my 12 hr shifts i would record it and watch it when i came in and that was at 5am in the morning you can not leave us like that esp when they killed his grandma like that she took that like a g yall gotta bring star back pleasssse
I changed my work sxhedule on wednesdays to be home in time for it!!
Please don’t cancel this show so many people watch this and can’t just end it how u did seriously not cool
The show needs to continue, it’s not often we have something to look forward to watch on tv such as this.

I think it is absolutely crazy that you won’t be renewing star for a fourth season! Especially with the way that it ended! I’d really like to see it come back for a fourth season! Please please

This cancellation is absolutely absurd!! Star is one of the best and most ORIGINAL series that has been on television in a long time! Nowadays, if it’s not a remake, reboot, or damn superhero saga then networks don’t want to take a chance on it. All too afraid to be UNIQUE and different than the mass followers. Running away with your tails between your legs. This is the exact reason that I hate to fall in love with ANY series anymore… always worried that it’ll be ripped away before it’s prime! Such a damn shame!

I have a lot of stress in my life and I like to escape with my shows and Star is my favorite… why would you take it away? It’s an amazing show! And you can’t leave it on a cliffhanger like that. Get your sh*t together FOX!
I just finished season 4 and BAWLED my eyes out!! How can you guys end such an amazing show like that and not renew it?!?! If there really won’t be a season 4, then me and the rest of my family will never watch anything on Fox again!! This is crazy!!! You guys can’t do this to us!! My entire family gets together JUST to watch this show!!
