The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

Very disrespectful indeed! FOX has no respect for it’s viewers to just cold bloodedly kill a show like that. It’s rude, and disrespectful of our time. This is bull ****. Because ur ratings are down u leave us with that as the ending. Maybe we should just all drop fox!!!! I will not be watching any other TV on fox due to this!

THey can’t leave the show the way it left off. There needs to be another season to atleast let it have the right type of ending. I would even be sad to see it end then.!! I am very upset about the show ending. I love it and I know a lot of people that are very angry about this

This is crazy! I just finished watching season three and tried to figure out when season 4 would come out. Needless to say this makes me not want to watch any more fox series because I don’t want to just be left hanging and disappointed.
