The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

This was my ALL time favorite show!! I was very disappointed to hear that Star has been canceled and there will no longer be a season four. It seems to me as every show that is actually good and interesting gets canceled, but there is shows still streaming that is terrible! I really hope it’s true that there will be a movie to wrap the show up. But if so when will it be expected to be launched?
I feel like why do all the good shows get stopped when it gets good like why did y’all have to do star like please please please come bacc out with a movie or two more seasons cause that show was the only thing that makes me feel better when I’m down that’s the only show I watch so please don’t take this show away from us everyone LOVES star that’s like taking iPhone from people don’t do this just let us know when y’all come out with a movie or two more seasons don’t let us down!!
One of my favorite shows! I am so VERY disappointed. They had great music! Loved everyone on the show. I do hope the rumors are true and we get a wrap up movie.
What the hell!!! I LOVED that show. And the way it ended I was looking forward to season 4. I get the ratings went down but to us other STAR lovers please PLEASE bring back star and a season 4. Put it on Netflix.
I would have definitely continued to watch it even my bf loved it which he hates everything I watch almost so that’s really saying something lol. I’m missing it and wish they would make another season and definitely am upset that they said they would make a movie to wrap things up and didn’t. I feel like if they wanted to cancel the show in season 3 they never should’ve ended the way it did plus I want to know what’s going to happen. I would’ve watched season 4 I feel like this show is great I loved it but they needed to add more episodes to the season because of the way it ends leaves you in a loop thinking what would happen or going to happen

I feel that the season four should go forward. Watching every show every season to have no end is a disappointment to the fàns the viewers of this awesome show. I think there should at least be one more episode if the aren’t going to have a season four to show what happens the the people at the wedding and what happened to Davis because that’s not right with leave millions of people on a cliffhanger!!!!! There needs to be another episode or just make the fourth season!!
Since the pandemic I have been binge watching tv and I honestly liked Star. There has to be an ending to this show. One more season needed.
Star was an AMAZING show! I’m a little late but when my younger sister told me about the show I began to watch it. I could not stop watching it and to get to season 3 and the show ending like that with soooo many questions and leaving me heart broken. There must be a season 4! #Bringbackstar!
