TV show description:
A music business drama, the Sun Records TV show unfolds in Memphis, Tennessee, during the first turbulent years of the Civil Rights movement and the birth of rock ‘n’ roll.
Sam Phillips (Chad Michael Murray), shepherds young musicians Johnny Cash (Kevin Fonteyne), Elvis Presley (Drake Milligan), Carl Perkins (Dustin Ingram) and Jerry Lee Lewis (Christian Lees). These up-and-coming white musicians combine hillbilly country music, with the ’50s R&B sound of African American artists.
Drawing on the seminal works of Muddy Waters, B.B. King (Castro Coleman), Fats Domino, and Ike Turner (Kerry D. Holliday), these artists made musical history. The series documents them, as they rocket to fame. Meanwhile, the nation is swept up by political changes and protests.
Series Finale:
Episode #8; “Finishing School”
First aired: April 13, 2018
Colonel Tom Parker (Gardell) presses to take over Elvis’ career, but Sam struggles with the decision to let his star go. Jerry Lee’s philandering catches up with him, and Johnny Cash (Fonteyne) starts his own band. (Courtesy CMT.)

This is a great show and one that fills a unique niche that appeals to a large audience. Keeping it on the air spreads the connection of that audience to the network. It’s pretty much a no brainer.
CMT, you are onto something so original, unusual, entertaining, and totally fascinating, so be sure to renew this show for a long, long time!!! It is one of the best shows to come along in years! All the characters tied together in the most changing, exciting, and vibrant time in music history! So very many, many stories to be told about some of our most famous legends!!! The actors are all stunning and so well matched; the filming, scenery, background music all brilliant. Renew it??? There is no question about it!!!
i think its one of the best shows on tv

I hope they’ll renew this one and keep improving. There is so much history to tell from this era.
