It looks like Take Two may not be getting a season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The comedy-drama stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift, an actress who begins shadowing a private investigator played by Eddie Cibrian. The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, Alice Lee, and Jordan Gavaris.
Ratings for Take Two were never particularly high. Season one averaged a .42 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.707 million viewers.
Although ABC has cancelled Take Two, THR says the production is looking into shopping a second season to another outlet, possibly a streaming service.

I truly enjoyed this show! I’m surprised to see there may not be a Season 2. The characters are funny and actually great actors. Yet you still have a plot that keeps you interested. Hopefully a Season 2 will be streamed!

I have been watching the entire season on Hulu. We enjoy the show, it’s a bit light while still having an interesting plot with a great cast and supporting cast. If it goes to streaming Hulu or somewhere else that I can access I’ll definitely watch.

Love the show and characters – they’re smart and have chemistry. Don’t kill it.
The show is great – so surprised it may end. I blame the marketing folks. It’s a smart show with some style and genuine chemistry. Other shows have tried this and failed. THIS one succeeds. Rachel B plays a quick witted, smart character with heart and Ed Cibrian’s character is perfect in the role. The additional cast also has chemistry and focus. Taking it away just drives me to Netflix.
