It looks like Take Two may not be getting a season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The comedy-drama stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift, an actress who begins shadowing a private investigator played by Eddie Cibrian. The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, Alice Lee, and Jordan Gavaris.
Ratings for Take Two were never particularly high. Season one averaged a .42 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.707 million viewers.
Although ABC has cancelled Take Two, THR says the production is looking into shopping a second season to another outlet, possibly a streaming service.

This was one of the best new shows this season, it’s a shame they don’t consider the over 50 crowd that watches it. ABC please rethink this decision.

Yes! Would definitely like to see a Season Two of Take Two!! Nice entertainment, chemistry between the stars and more. And, as someone else said, compare to the garbage on with several of these “Reality Shows,” this was refreshing…
This is a cute show that deserves another shot. The secondary characters (office staff, police force, etc) are really well cast – they make the show worth watching by themselves.

I loved the show. I had a feeling if I liked it, it would be cancelled instead of those dreadful reality shows. Another good one that should be saved, is Take Two!
I LOVED this show! It was light-hearted & fun. Found myself trying to figure out “who done it” & the chemistry between Eddie & Sam was amazing.

These networks are making it difficult to invest time in TV series since they pull the rug out from underneath their fans. Not sure I will invest in ABC – first Last Man Standing and now Take Two after only one season!
I absolutely LOVED this show the chemistry between Rachel and Eddie was awesome the light hearted comedy was fun and endearing please please bring it back

I really hope they find this show another home. I found it very engaging. It reminded me a lot of Remington Steele.
This show was really fun. Hard to get good ratings when you’re stuck in a summer premiere with few episodes and never have the chance to gain the followers. Would love to have seen this in a fall premiere in a good time slot so as to gain the interest. When people are out playing in the summertime, not watching tv, how is it ever a good idea to premiere a tv show then? Not smart on the part of the producers or the network. Good point made… wishing it would have NOT been a summer “fill in” but a fall premier…. think it would have rated much higher!!
