It looks like Take Two may not be getting a season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The comedy-drama stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift, an actress who begins shadowing a private investigator played by Eddie Cibrian. The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, Alice Lee, and Jordan Gavaris.
Ratings for Take Two were never particularly high. Season one averaged a .42 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.707 million viewers.
Although ABC has cancelled Take Two, THR says the production is looking into shopping a second season to another outlet, possibly a streaming service.

Being a huge Castle fan (Nathan Fillion will always be my Captain…and crush), since I fell in love with him as Cpt. Malcolm Reynolds on Firefly over 15yrs ago, I enjoyed Take Two, and got a Castle Vibe, (worse acting though tolerable and still fun, plus the romance happened MUCH FASTER), so when I found out the Executive Producers of Castle were doing Take Two, it made complete sense… Bummed they cancelled it, I think it at least deserved a 2nd season to see if it could pick up some steam and progress deeper more complex character back stories and… Read more »

Loved this show , definitely shouldn’t have cancelled it ! Hopefully another channel will pick it up or Netflix maybe Hulu !!

Not as bad as a mistake as the cancellation of the show Firefly (though that 1 season cancel will go down as the worst mistake Fox ever made) Nathan Fillion starred in that, then Castle, and the Exec Producers if Castle did Take Two… Conspiracy theory lol

Would definitely watch. Very disappointed in ABC. They keep cancelling shows I enjoy. Use to watch 95 percent ABC. That number is now probably less than 50.
