NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.
But, what do you think? Do you like the Taxi Brooklyn TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Would you watch it on another channel?
Love it, Keep it. Why do networks cancel all the good shows!!
I love this show. NBC has a habit of not allowing shows to grow if they are not an automatic hit during season 1. Give the show a season 2. Its worth it. Please don’t cancel it like you did Trauma. You can’t expect much if you don’t give much.
Best 2 shows on NBC That I have watched were Crisis & Taxi Brooklyn, which had to grow on me. Otherwise a tired network.
love the show…should definitely be renewed… I would watch it on any channel.
I absolutely adore the show taxi Brooklyn and would hate to see it canceled. I love the relationship between all the characters and can’t wait to see more. Please, please do not cancel the show! It is such a great comic relief and some easy watching after a long days work when I don’t necessarily want to see heavy duty, intense, crime drama scene shows.
Much ablidged!!
Brandy Robinson AND EXTENDED FAM WHO FEELS THE SAME WAY!!)
I like it, take it for what it is, Cop show with humor, A show that doesn’t itself to seriously. Good show for summer,I’ ve watched the all!
I liked the show A LOT, premise different – except for the parent killer chase that is in toooooo many cop shows nowadays, mother killed in Castle, father in NCIS LA, to name two. BUT this last episode with her getting a car and her license back AND she just sits back while they side swipe her car and drive off…COP, CRIME..HELLO, puke in her care, crash into the back end and drive away. – AGAIN CRIME, HIT AND RUN AND SHE JUST STARES AFTER THE CAR??? it took the credibility TOTALLY off this show. May still like the characters… Read more »
I really like the premise, and watched it and loved it TILL the show where she got her license back. REALLY???
Renew and bulk it up. Give it more meat so more people will watch. Stories are sometimes a little weak.
Keep it my family and I enjoy watching it.
My wife’s (59) and daughter’s (36) favorite show of almost all time, I like it to and I’m (65) so don’t cancel the show.
I really enjoy this show. Its about the only show on NBC that I watch. NBCs programming is not the best, or I should say a little better than the worst programming compared to the other TV stations. But I do really like Taxi Brooklyn, which means if the public likes it, it will be canceled mainly because it isn’t a stupid reality show or the like.
One of my favorite shows!!! Please don’t cancel!!
Definitely Renew!! I enjoy the uniqueness of the show. Bring it back, if not on NBC then on another channel.!!!!
Love it and keeep the show!
