In advance of the official January 13 premiere, TV Land has released the pilot episode for its new sitcom, Teachers. Watch Teachers, season one, episode one, here.
Teachers stars improvisational group The Katydids: Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O’Brien and Katie Thomas. In addition to writing for and starring in the show, they serve as executive producers, with Alison Brie and showrunners Ian Roberts and Jay Martel.
What do you think? Are you interested in the sound of this new TV series? Do you plan to watch the pilot for TV Land’s Teachers TV show online, before its airdate?
TV land has hit rock bottom with the show teachers. I would like for direct TV to drop TV land from their programing since I do not wish to pay for something I would never watch
I agree with you. This tv series is a terrible role model for children and SHOULD BE an insult to decent teachers. I have family members who are teachers and their schools sure don’t allow this kind of behavior. It’s like Bart Simpson teaching bad habits again — only for adults. People grow up. Life isn’t a joke; it’s serious business.
Why are your children up this late watching an adult show. If they wanted a cutesy teacher show with overly fake meaning and overly good looking unrealistic teachers, they would have put it on at a normal time. This is an adult comedy not meant to be seen by children. Everything is blown out of proportion and not real. This is not how real teachers act.
I guess my family can no longer set together and watch TVLand anymore. The vulgar commercials from Teachers and Younger are so sexually explicit it shocks me. I loved watching This channel but we can’t anymore. Very disappointed.
Vulgar and inappropriate to use children in these scenarios. I’m embarrassed for the teaching profession and for the human race.
This is NOT family oriented and is an offensive vulgarity-filled attempt at humor in a classroom. Cancel Immediately!~
horrible
This is a horrible disgusting show! So sick and tired of just seeing the commercials, hope it is canceled immediately!
I absolutely will not be watching this show. It is inappropriate and vulgar beyond belief!! Tvland should be ashamed. It used to be such a wonderful station. Now we are boycotting it and encouraging others to do the same
Thank you so much. I agree 100% with you. TVland used to be family friendly and show good classic shows. I hope this show and all the other trashy shows are cancelled and TVland will be good again.
Please don’t watch this show. It’s very inappropriate. It uses kids for the vulgar jokes. What kind of show uses children for vulgar laughs. Don’t view the pilot and just stay away from the show. You’ll regret watching it. This kind of vulgar garbage needs to stop. I’m trying to get it stopped. To help me make TV more appropriate for families please never watch this show, CBS’s Life in Pieces, NBC’s Truth be Told, Disney XD’s Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything, ABC Family’s Becoming Us, ABC’s upcoming The Real O’Neals, FOX’s upcoming shows Bordertown and Lucifer, Adult Swim’s… Read more »
I figured out from the few commercials I’ve seen for this show that it’s vulgar beyond belief. The first vulgar situation was where a woman (I’m assuming she’s a teacher) seems to be portraying a woman with a man’s private part in her mouth. . . Then I see a child saying “Jesus Christ!”. How much more vulgar can you get? I wondered if I was mistaken in my belief that TV Land was originally supposed to be a “family friendly” channel. And “Younger” doesn’t seem much better (I think I watched PART of the first episode last year). In… Read more »
I was a teacher for 32 years. Shame, Shame on the writers for using children to try and justify this show’s existence. There are young impressionable minds watching this series .Shows like this can do irreparable damage. Children attend school thinking that all teachers behave the way they do in this series. It is difficult enough to encourage the children to respect their real school teachers and the teaching profession. Does the T.V.station think about this or do they even care? The shows are not redeeming or funny only sexual. Hopefully viewers will stop watching and the ratings will continue… Read more »
